First of all, I might be the biggest fan of our young TEs, Hendershot, Schultz, even McKeon. But if you're Dalton Schultz and you're logging nearly 100 yards and 2 TDs along with some key blocks in the playoffs after being tagged in somewhat of a prove it year, and you keep that up moving forward, you might be making a case to justify getting the payday you want.

Schultz, and the other TEs, have been Dak's so-called security blanket.

What I really like is something I heard in McCarthy's press conference after win at Bucs: that Schultz actually goes to the QB meetings.

He had a slow start this year with the injury early on, but if he closes with a bang, Schultz could be on his way to earning that payday he was wanting this offseason.

Only time will tell, but if I was Dalton Schultz, I'd continue attending those QB meetings.
Never understood why more teams have meetings with TEs, WRs and QBs.

Probably not here. My thought is they signed him to the FT because they knew they were drafting his replacement. Unless he signs for under-market value, I don't see him sign re-signing.

Umm, he is getting a pretty good payday under the franchise tag. I really don't see how we can keep him if we want to keep Pollard, and Lamb, and Diggs, and Parsons, etc. And I still label him in the good but not great tier. Maybe I am just being harsh. He did have a great game last night.

I think I’m ready to pull the trigger and sign Shultz. He and Dak have a great rapport
They do.... Dak obviously trusts him big time. Hes always looking to find him in the red zone.

I remember parents used to complain about y daughter in basketball, because she did the vast majority of the scoring. They won league for the first tim ein over 20 years her Sr year in 2006. They havent made the playoffs since. At the banquet the coach made it clear to everyone as he knew about those complainers. He said there is no way you are going to replace her 25 points per night, and they havent... nobody has scored more than 14 ppg since she left.

If you think you are just goig to throw anyone in there and replace schultz, I think you might be mistaken.

That second TD was all schultz the way he maneuvered to get open. The guy is productive... and I love the he cant block argument. Did you watch the game??? IM asking that to nobody in particular.

I sure hope so and don’t forget Ferguson.

Dak and Schultz are good together. You don't want to mess that up. They have a good thing going.
It isn't an easy choice. I just think we have Ferguson and the other rookie TE that look like they have a little something to their game....and the cap is always a concern.

It would suck for Dak to lose another security blanket...he really depended on Cedric Wilson last year too.

Schultz had a productive regular season, nothing spectacular but last night he had the great game that we've been waiting for. He was a key reason why we won, and though he had some missed blocks, he also had his fair share of nice blocks.
everyone seems to forget he played while hurt and it clearly took away from his production. Had he been healthy, he might have led the nfl in TDs for all TEs.

Lve is trash just watch this week when hes awful in the run game.

Schultz is smart based on what?
Uh, maybe because he went to Stanford?

Perhaps because he's not all that athletically gifted for an NFL TE, but still has a high football IQ?

And you've been wrong on LVE all year long.. why would it change now?

I'd settle for most TD's by a tight end in the playoffs in the history of the NFL . Oh man that would cost Jerry some bucks

I knew you were still around. Heres to you.

Nice!

People forget that HST was a sports fan, too.

And back at you, @Cowboys0988..
