Kellen Moore's scheme is TE friendly.

Schultz with penalty in the Bucs game when trying to block and multiple whiffs on blocks.

Aikman pointed out that TE blocking has been a big part if the problem with the run game. I think he was referring to Schultz because he said it after the Schultz penalty.

He was talking about Schultz's blocking, but also pointing out that that wasn't the case on other plays in the game.

Never understood why more teams have meetings with TEs, WRs and QBs.
To go over details and strategy of the job/position with your specific position coach.. think about the relationship between general and specific.

Uh, maybe because he went to Stanford?

Perhaps because he's not all that athletically gifted for an NFL TE, but still has a high football IQ?

And you've been wrong on LVE all year long.. why would it change now?
Ive been right on LVE since we drafted him. As being above average in pass defense and below average against the run

So you actually think Cox would be better against the run?

LVE has been pretty darn good against the run . . . all things considered, of course.

Hes bad against the run watch the tape. Hes afraid to bang inside. Idk wth is up with cox.

Schultz isnt good enough to warrant a 2nd contract

We'll agree to disagree on LVE. I stand by the fact that he's a pretty solid player versus the run and pass. I thought he had a pro bowl type season. I was just saying that right before Aikman mentioned the very same thing...

As far as Schultz, I'm open-minded.. I like our young guys. But Schultz deserves a lot of respect for his game yesterday.

Let him walk imo, I'd rather use that money to keep Pollard

Bet it wouldn't have taken 27 years to get past the divisional round
I gotta say, if I were GM, I'd be a lot like Jerry, except much better at evaluating potential talent, of course. Always fun to play arm-chair GM, but the odds are so stacked against us football lay people in reality, it could almost never happen.

A team should do an apprentice some year.

It would be interesting to see a serious league, or even a minor one, that involved an apprentice type GM that competed against other non-football, coaching types on a show by making various moves, acquisitions, trades, etcetera. That's the biggest reason I like this board. Aside from you, and some of your beliefs on LVE, and perhaps even Schultz, you sometimes find good ideas and insight from this place. :p

Just kidding.

Michael Mayer out of ND is a name to watch if he is available when the Cowboys draft. As for Schultz I would prefer they spend that money elsewhere.
Like on Tony Pollard. They need to find a way to keep him. I know many here say to franchise him, but that would be a disservice to TP due to the shorten career span for RB. Much rather sign him for about $12m tops per year. Too important to the offense. No rookie or FA rb is gonna replace his stats. Pair him with Malik.

Dalton Schultz will most definitely get his payday. It's just a question of which team pays him. If Jerry doesn't want to pay, there will be another team out there that will snatch him up.

You can't tag TP.

That'd be total disrespect, at this point. As a coach, you can't allow Jerry to pull this.
