I don't think most successful coaches were also highly successful pro players so I don't know how much it actually matters. Its not like they're handing him the keys as a top assistant or head coach right now.

Funny enough Kellen Moore followed a similiar trajectory, started 2 games as a QB just like Grier and they were both 0-2, not really being a successful NFL QB.

Wanted to see what Super Bowl players also were there as head coaches, pretty small list.

How do you get experience if experience is a prerequiste for hire? I mean we had tons of experience with Eberflus and that worked out great.
