I've not been keeping up closely since Saturday, has there been any word as to whether Henson will get any time in this next pre-season game?

I will be surprised if he gets any more than mopup duty in the 4th qtr.

BP was very clear that this is Romo's year to show up or find a new school. I think Romo gets at least the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

They saw Henson in NFLE and still think he is a ways away, so I am not sure why they would play him other than late in the game.

Nope, Bledsoe will get three series, then Romo for the remainder of the first half and third quarter, and then Baker in the fourth quarter. Parcells has a whole NFLE library of tape to analyze Henson.

That's not the point that they have NFL Europe tape on Henson. He still needs the reps in preseason to get better. Parcells has already made up his mind on Henson unfortunately just like he did with Chad Hutchinson.

Henson needs to pull a Hutch and go in BP office and ask what his role is or better yet a Antonio Bryant and throw a jersey in BP's face just to get released so he can go havea chance. :D I don't recommend the Antonio thing since that carries over but a Hutch act would be respectful and get him released.

Boy that worked out magically for those two players. They really showed Parcells what was what when they went out and dominated away from Dallas.

Point being? Our head coach knows what he's doing when it comes to the players on his team. He really, really does.

Hmm... I wouldn't rule out Bryant just yet. I thought the guy will not get anywhere, but he is not doing so bad either, unlike what I thought he would be.

On other hand, BP doesn't always do the right thing with players. Hugh Douglas had a pretty good career after he was let go by BP. It wasn't the right fit there with Jets I guess.

If BP did not want him here he would be gone so I don't know if he made up his mind about Henson or not. That could still end up being the case as cut downs start taking place we will just have to wait and see. I think anyone who tries to read BP's mind ends up being wrong more times than not.

Noone always does the right thing. But with our team, Parcells has a pretty good track record. I don't think it's coincidence that Bryant spent just year and a half with the BRwons, despite having a decent year last year, do you? Talent, yes - but he thinks he has more than he really does.

So BP knows so much about QBs?

So much that he went with a 42 year old he knew he was not going to bring back and played him the last at least 3 throw away games instead of letting Henson and Romo play a little and get valuable playing time. What other position has he done that same policy with and worked?

Now you are about to decide on a multi-year multi-million dollar contract offer to Romo for starter or back-up pay and possibly lose him in free agency ALL BASED ON PRESEASON. Great coaching there.

Don't even bring up his failed attempt to keep on life support a QBs career that could not even make it on a Canadian team as a backup.

It took a sledge hammer to wake him up on Phil Simms, too.

I should have added...

I like Henson and think it ridiculous to not play him ANY in a preseason game and then not at all in the 7-7 drills.

I'd be willing to be Parcells knows a little bit more about the QB position than the people that post here.

Didn't he "develop" Bledsoe??

You know, it is very odd that Parcells didn't play Henson in the pre-season game and practice.

I know everybody is going to pile on here but you guys don't think there might be some interest in Henson from another team do ya?

Some team desperate at QB would probably welcome Henson, the same way the Bears actually started Chutch after being cut from here.
