Matt Baker must be a bonafide football player if Parcells and company were quick to pull the trigger on the ivy league sensation Jeff Mroz in order to sign this kid.

Baker your on notice....time to show The Answer something!

Only a fool (obviously I'm not calling you one) would think that his "pick" is nothing but anti-Henson agenda.

Does it really matter?

Once we trade Shanle, he'll pick some other player that he needs to hate, and choose a backup to replace him. My guess is it'll be the get rid of Ferguson, war Pepper Johnson wagon for this guy. (I'll be taking bets later this month). As of right now, anyone who has the possibility of supplanting Henson (no matter how slim) will draw this fool's support. How else would he aggravate the rest of us?

I thought the point of a scout swap was to allow the other team's scouts to see a player in practice, not to sit the player in question out of practice. I have no idea what is going on here, other than Baker possibly is moving ahead, or Henson already made some demands after not seing the field Saturday night.
As Bill likes to say, "If you don't practice you don't play", so with that premise in place I would say he does not play Monday night at all, especially if the trend of holding him out of practice continues (which I doubt it will).

By the great beard of Mighty Zeus, I read this whole thread. Did you not read my post? I am answering the question of playing time for Henson (which is the question in the thread title) based on all this Baker taking snaps from Henson. Hello.

As well as answering the question, brought up during this thread, as to whether or not Henson might be traded to New England.

Point being? Our head coach knows what he's doing when it comes to the players on his team. He really, really does.

That's what I don't understand when I see message board G.M.s saying he doesn't know what he is doing or say he is doing something wrong.

Name one player he has released in his tenure in Dallas that went on to do well elsewhere?

Woodrow Dantzler? Jamar Martin? Derek Ross? Resherd Lee? Chad Hutchinson? The list goes on and on. Certainly, he makes mistakes about who he keeps. All coaches do, but his track record is sterling with what happens to these players once they are released.

Antonio Bryant is appealing because he talks a big game, but by the end of the year, his act has usually turned off his current employer and he is looking for a job.

Just say you don't like it. Don't pretend you know better.

I will be surprised if he gets any more than mopup duty in the 4th qtr.

BP was very clear that this is Romo's year to show up or find a new school. I think Romo gets at least the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

They saw Henson in NFLE and still think he is a ways away, so I am not sure why they would play him other than late in the game.

maybe cause with utter crap around him he still did well in nfle. maybe it would be nice to see a REAL team around him for say 1/2 a game to see if he's made any progress over his years in hibernation.

then again, you can't see ANYTHING from one game, can you? nothing worth note. well, unless it's romo then 1 game annoints you the starter over a solid vet.

*I can't see NE being interested in Henson. They are already developing a young guy in Matt Cassell and he's progressing very well. With Henson's lack of NFL experience I can't see where he would be an obvious upgrade there as a backup.

*This is not a knock on Henson but looking over the NFL rosters I'd be hard pressed to name a single team that would likely be inclined to surrender even a 7th round pick for him at this point. If he was released I'd guess there would be interest in signing him though. My top 5 teams in that event would be Oakland, Philadelphia, NYG, Minnesota and Tampa Bay. Oakland and Minnesota would seem to offer the most hope for Henson of eventually getting a real shot to start because of the age of their starters.

*I agree that if Henson doesn't get in there at all on Monday he's in trouble here.
