That's a matter of interpretation. He's been around 6 seasons and is certainly into the second half of his career. As far as trade bait goes, he has a value that he will not have in a couple of years. If the Cowboys have injury concerns about Amari, it's better to trade him now than later when he loses that value. Did you notice he has been held out of almost all of the OTAs and questionable to be ready to participate in training camp or be ready when the season starts? How do you not see that as a potential problem that doesn't deserve a potential solution like trading him before he gets even worse? I'm just talking about possible problems and solutions. What better do we have to talk about this offseason?
Do you believe Cowboys make a midseason trade for a premier player for the defense if they continue to struggle? The Rams are a top target who are in dire need of draft stocks if they are willing to move on from Ramsey. I would also target Fletcher Cox from Eagles or Star Lotulelei from Bills to shore up the DL.
Who is your ideal trade player if Cowboys have to make a move?
Yeah..and we know who the devil is around here..huh Corso.?It's not the question of whether Jerry is stupid enough.
It's the fact that the cap situation dictates they cannot afford the trade.
The guy they have is easily tossed after this year.
The other guy wants a new, expensive deal before he plays.
The Devil is in the details, my friend.
If the reason he had been held out of most of the OTAs turns out to be nothing, then I hope he can stick around a couple more years too. But if he has s lingering problem with his ankle or foot then we should traded as soon as possible. That's fair, but he entered the league young and he's not in a beat em up position, so hopefully we can go another two seasons before he gets that label.
I don’t know but I could be wrong but I’m not sure the op is saying Trade Amari ?? I think he means make a mid season “Amari type” of trade for a good defensive player (giving up future picks) if the defense struggles
The mid-season "Amari" trade won't be because the defense is struggling. In fact, it won't be because of the defense at all. It will happen because they want to unload Amari. This will rid the Cowboys of a WR that is long in the tooth careerwise and free up space on the roster where we need another guy elsewhere.
They will not trade him. He has good chemistry with Dak and after the whole offense suffered by Dak going down...They will leave the WRs intact to play out the season. It will reveal itself. Be patientAbsolutely not. With Coop already making big money & Lamb already getting more targets in the passing game, Gallup is now third fiddle in the offense but still a great talent & starter for many other teams.
Rather than losing Gallup for nothing concrete in 2022 & relying on the compensatory pick formula, the Boys could secure a return for his departure w/a trade now.
His research is usually limited to looking up 40 timesDid you do any research before randomly suggesting these names?
You have a very mild case.I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis he only time I notice it is when I have weight off my feet for a period of time. The first 10 or so steps are uncomfortable after resting my feet but after that I do not notice it.
Is 27 (birthday was last month) entering your 7th season, long in the tooth for a WR?
IMO, we can entertain the idea of trading him due to Lamb and Cooper, but not because his best years are behind him
Wow! Amari Cooper long in the tooth career wise just turning 27, 3 weeks ago and making pro bowls almost every season since his rookie year.

You have a very mild case.
It can be completely debilitating for severe cases, which athletes tend to get.
Albert Pujols missed several games in his career with it. Peyton Manning struggled with it, and he didn't have to run routes.
My biggest issue with Amari is that football doesn't seem to matter all that much to him.
That's a ridiculous assumption. Just because he doesn't have a huge personality like Michael Irvin or TO, doesn't mean football isn't important to him. I think it is laughable that random people on the internet ascertain by watching 3 hours of football on a Sunday and not seeing what this guy does that other 6 days of the week. You have a very mild case.
