Will McCarthy have the fortitude to pull Dak if necessary?

Well said. Dak has never been a big INT guy. In fact, that's what made him a viable starter. Those INTs weren't all his fault. The Shady McCoy's of the world need to say things like "Dak is @$$" to be relevant. Even his trans sidekick "Jill" has started parroting that nonsense. And it's silly.
Silly is right. To the point that now preseason statistics are coveted like they count. INTs is practice?
Bizarre.

So Dak was given his academic achievements? Is that what you’re saying.
He certainly didn’t get any for his ability to process at the QB position. He’s slow between the ears from that perspective.

We’re gonna have a 14 page thread based off a hypothetical. How bout this one, what’s the difference? If Dak had an MVP type season, won the superbowl, was first team all pro, threw for 6k and 45 TDs , would all of y’all shut up about Dak? Nope… he still wouldn’t be good enough for those of you would immediately ask, can he do it again?
Nope, of course I wouldn't shut up about Dak in that case. I would be all over him with praises. Let's see that. I would be thrilled if Dak did that.

I guess the 15 interceptions in 2022 was a dream!
That was 15 interceptions in 12 games. The one that bugged me the most was against Washington. He threw to a simple out route, and it went right into the Washington player's hands, but he dropped it. I was like, "Whew, close call. Careful, Dak." Then, on the very next play, he made the same boneheaded throw, but this one was a pick 6. He lucked out by avoiding an interception simply because the opponent had butter fingers. Then, he made the same stupid mistake again, and this time the Washington player took advantage of it. I want him to play better than that. I guess that makes me some kind of hater. No, I don't hate him, but I do want this team to get its money's worth from him, and that wasn't it.

Are you guys this clueless to suggest that W. Mcclay has the power to pull Dak? What a joke of an idea
See that's the problem. He's the head coach. If he doesn't have the power to pull Dak, or any player on the team, then the organization is dysfunctional. He's the head coach, for God's sake. He's supposed to have full control over his team while the owner butts out and takes care of business decisions, and has no right to ever make a head coach's decision such as who starts, who backs up, who doesn't suit up, who's on the practice squad, who gets cut, and, yes, who gets pulled from a game due to poor performance.
...
I don't think anyone here doesn't realize that McCarthy can get in hot water with Jones if he pulls someone that Jerry didn't want pulled. We know that's the case, AND THAT'S THE PROBLEM.
