Will McCarthy have the fortitude to pull Dak if necessary?

IMO answer is no , mike would have to get that cleared with jerry 1st, and that is hard to do during a game, so it would happen after a game.
Even then I dont think jerry would approve of dak being pulled, due to the money jerry pays hi,, and jerry has endorsed dak.

He's the weakest link on the whole team. We are now down to hoping the team carries dak. wow.. just wow, what does that say about him and his fans.

Thank God someone said this. Rush was awful as a starter last year. Had one good game and got worse every week. By the time he was done he was absolutely terrible. DCs needed a week to figure him out. He is not a viable option to replace Dak.

I expect him to have a typical Dak kind of season.
4-5 games he'll look good.
3-4 game he'll look like Stephen McGee.
And 8-9 games he'll look average.

Jerry will never admit he was wrong about Dak.
 
If the Cowboys take one step back this season, McCarthy is likely gone. He’s staying with the QB that gives him the best chance to win and it’s not Cooper Rush.
 
DC nation all knows this is the season for DP to put up or shut up. Now weather the GM will pull the trigger if he sucks. IMO if DP does suck (hope not) I think Coop could be a decent game manager (see Trent Dilfer season).
I think the defense will be good enough to carry this team to the SB and win barring injuries. Anyway, that's my hopes for the 2023 season and y'all come at me. With our current defense we do not need the QB to dictate our season. Me....I have seen enough of DP to know he is not the guy to win the SB for us (see Roger, Troy) we just knew we were going to win. DP is great statically in the regular season but until he has some kid of confidence to not screw up when it matters the most, I just do not see us getting to or winning the SB with DP. Dude strikes fear in no one. Go Boys!!!!

Neither is Dak hence the problem......................
I could have had 2 playoff wins with the rosters that Prescott has had around him the past 7 seasons.
