Will McCarthy have the fortitude to pull Dak if necessary?

Look for him to get injured again as subconsciously he will make this a reality to "escape" what folks are seeing on the field.
It has worked for him in the past and I expect him to use it once again

No, I’ve read The extreme. If you’re this upset time to find another team.

It's up to Jerry, not Mike, if Dak gets benched.
I think you've identified the problem. Who plays QB, and really who plays any position, should be totally the head coach's call, not the owner's. Jerry should let Mike know that he trusts him completely to run the team, and Jerry will take care of business. That's been this team's main problem for decades, but Jerry can't see it.

And to be clear, I would not pull Dak unless he were playing really awful consistently. If we started the season 0 and 5, and every one of those losses clearly had a lot to do with Dak's performance, I would pull him. At 0 and 5, you're probably not going to the playoffs anyway, so you might as well shake things up. Starting Cooper Rush and then maybe signing a stop-gap veteran would be reasonable IMO. What I would not do is pull Dak for throwing a pick in one or two games that were close and which he otherwise played well in. But if you're QB is playing really terrible, and consistently that way, and the chances of it getting better are bleak, then pulling that QB is acceptable.
...
Of course, it's not my decision. I'm not the coach. It should be Mike McCarthy's decision, and his alone. If McCarthy chose to pull Dak, Jones should say to him, "I trust your judgement. Do whatever you think is best for the team." But we all know Jerry wouldn't do that. He has a bad habit of meddling, one which he should break, but probably never will. That's the problem. Jimmy Johnson had full control over his team, and that started to irk Jerry Jones. What Jones doesn't get is having your head coach in full control of all football-related things is the right way to do things.

First, I'm hoping Dak bounces back from his interception troubles and plays great. I hope he plays so well that I say that I'm glad Jones paid him that big contract. I haven't said that yet. If he plays awesome and this team has a shot at the NFCC, then I'll shut up.
...
However, if he stinks up the place, if his interception problem ends up as bad or worse than last year, then McCarthy should pull him. Put in Cooper Rush. I know that would not make Dak happy, but this game isn't about his happiness. It's a meritocracy, and if some other player gives you a better chance to win, you need to go with that player.
...
Again, I'm not sitting here hoping that Dak stinks up the place. I want him to play well. I'm talking about ONLY if he plays really terrible.
I'll give the simple version. Because I don't think there is a more complicated version. If Dak has to be pulled for whatever reason, our season is over.

After watching Jerry's mental capacity in recent interviews he doesn't have time to ride a lame horse now a days.
Ya, he looks rough.....real rough.....could be his last season if you get my drift here.
Yes, even billionaires kick up their boots just like the rest of us.
Anyway, the only way Jerry gets another SB ring is if the NFL is the WWE and they give him a going-away present.

If we started with a horrible record like 0 and 5 or 1 and 6, the season's probably over whether Dak, Cooper, or someone else plays.

Not true dude,

you need a wake up call in reality of what football is , you're starting quarterbacks the only one that's going to give you a chance... we started three and five in 2018 didn't have much talent on the field they brought in amari Cooper and immediately the Cowboys went on a run Prescott played great got us to the second round of the playoffs finished 10-6..

Cooper rush is not gonna do that he will not dig you out of any hole not in a game not in a season... so let's back off, did you think Cooper rush even played decent ?? I mean I'll give you the word decent, he didn't play that well our team played out of their freaking minds during that stretch Prescott would have won all those games and probably would have won the Eagles game too.

I mean do you realize if Cooper rush could win the game, Prescott could win the game but there's no way Cooper rush wins those games where we need to score more than 19-30 points if he gets in a hole gets behind the man is not a game manager, he made a lot of mistakes that you seem to be ignoring...

So once again we're in disagreement you can dig your way out of a hole in a 17 game season if you have your starting quarterback it's very difficult to do but you look at what say the Bengals did last year they didn't look good hell the Cowboys beat them with cook Cooper rush and even I believe the last two seasons the 49ers struggled the first half of the season and they found ways to get it going before the playoffs you can dig your way out of a hole if you have your starting quarterback dak is a top ten starting quarterback and he can do that for you we've already seen it...

But the reality is nobody wants to start out zero and five or one and six but when's the last time that's happened this team has played very well and Prescott has not been part of one losing team when he's healthy, he literally been to the playoffs four out of the six season he's been healthy.

this is the difference between the backup quarterback and the quarterback one gives you a chance to win for the season one gives you a chance to win a game if things go well around him you know like Nick Foles did for the Eagles...

Nahhhhh was here before inepto and I'll wait till he hits the road to follow in his bud (Zeke) footsteps......
I’m proud of you my cowboy brother. Good, bad or indifferent? You stick with it. Me too been a fan as long as you. I actually feel bad you don’t trust the quarterback. I just wish you nothing but the best and I hope he gets a ring.

He eventually had to admit he was wrong about Garrett. That time for Dak will also come.
I don’t recall him, admitting he was wrong. He just didn’t wanna pay him again.

I think if the offense hasn't clicked at all because Dak's crapping the bed, by the middle of the 3rd quarter, and we're down by 14 or more, he could pull him...if it looks like Dak just can't get his head in the game.
Problem is that Rush isn't a good enough QB to get us back in the game if we're down by that much. That's why Jerry should be improving the backup QB position.

Whoever expects a epic collapse from the QB hasn't been watching and you can tell. He has a pretty consistent track record.

If we start 0-5 and Dak and the offense look this bad.... no MM will not be the coach making the QB desicion, your HC takes over playcalling and wrecks the offense and the franchise QB... the first pull is going to be made by the GM and it wont be the QB..
