The Jones want him here ...and Wil McClay has kids going to school here - he's made that clear how much that means to his family.

He'll be re-signed

Unless there's unknown mass conspiracy and finger-pointing among the big three , I'm not even concerned about that.

Time for him to move on and be a GM. I wouldn't stay here and deal with this crap. You hand someone constantly the best pieces and they do is squander them. He could do that himself as a GM.

Constantly the best pieces?

Tell me you don't believe this roster should be a contender.

Replace Will its our only **** for change cause Jerry aint leaving. Hire Troy for that job.
Oh, I agree that Jerry trusts Will and for that reason he'll be retained. However, Will is part of the 'establishment', we aren't getting anywhere with tinkering at the periphery.
Then again, this isn't happening whilst Jerry still has control .....Jerry has to go first.

He has the best job in all of sports. When things go bad it is Jerry and Stephen's fault, when he hits he is a hero.

When Milli Vanilli finally sang the songs themselves it didn’t go so well.

He would be fired within a few years if he left. Here, he has a job for life while Jerry takes all the (well deserved) blame…never has to deal with the media, and Im sure is paid on par with some other GMs

Probably has signed as many NDAs as anyone who enters the stripper bus.

He could leave one day on his own

Letting Will McClay go would not hurt my feelings. Happens all the time in organizations looking to adjust to new realities.

For those who are in favour of keeping the band all together at what age would you let him go? When he is 75? 85? When we enter into the 40th year of being out of the conference championships and SuperBowl?

If we are looking for the strongest managing team for the Cowboys why would you not want a bit of a churn at the top level?

Never fear change, and even if it doesn't work out for you at least you tried something different in the hopes that results would be different.

Well JJ shop at thrift stores and flea markets when the team need something. If our draft picks don't work out or we find a steal with a UFA it's done. We hardly ever sign quality talent.

Will McClay provides the information with some recommendations.

Jerry and Stephen make the actual decisions.

Will McClay is about ready to pass up big cash for a real opportunity to run an NFL franchise.

I wish him the best of luck as he successfully escapes his current no-win scenario.
