Will our 1st round pick be inactive this week?

Crayton shouldn't be returning punts, it should strictly be Adam.

Id have Crayton do it when the punt is going to be caught inside our 20. Thats usually fair catch territory and Crayton is more reliable.

It has been said by many that Scandrick was first round talent. His problem was that he didn't have enough college football experience to be drafted so high. I would see them suiting up Jenkins over Scandrick because the only reason Scan played so much Sunday was that he is the #2 slot corner. If TNew were to come back, he would defend the slot and Jenk would be wide.

I doubt if Jenkins would be inactive. They're paying him first round money. Stanback would probably sit before Jenkins would.

I think it is based on a little more than salary. I would guess team needs would be a major factor. I would think Philly would be using a lot of 3 receiver sets, maybe even four. Jenkins will probably be active.

That doesn't make you a bust.

Not doing enough to be a game day active, now that is a different story.

But the REAL issue with Jenkins is that he's not playing slot - Scandrick is the top backup at slot CB. Jenkins has 3 very good NFL CBs in front of him at the other corner positions.

If he sits it is about numbers more than performance.

Jenkins and Scandrick both played corner in college. I don't necessarily recall Scandrick being in the slot that much at BSU.
If Jenkins is the better, pure DB why didn't the team put him at a position (slot) to get on the field where he wouldn't get caught in a numbers squeeze?
Teams rarely make moves to keep their best players off the field.
