I'm seeking some feedback from my fellow fans to help me deal with this nervous twitch. The responses are appreciated.

No. He may not make it all 16 games, but we may be better prepared this year if he doesn't with Prescott backing him up.

I think he'll be OK. I wouldn't bet on 16 games, but his back is in the same shape (if not better) than is was in 2104. He'll do his pain management thing if he tweaks it. I'd be more worried about him playing at a lower level if he's in pain then missing games.

It's his back I'm worried about. We saw last night just one awkward movement or hit and he's gonna hurt it again. If he is getting shots to get through a game the long term effects of that can't be good.

This fan base is starting to get on my nerves. Let's just say one way or another a really good qb will start for us in every game.

I see 13 to 14 games with Every Weds off as usual and a couple of fill in games by Dak down the stretch as we rest Romo up for that feel playoff run. :D

Tony is our QB, and once again the fate of our season may ride on his health. HOWEVER, my worrisome curiosity is my first statement may not be so true with the emergence of Dak. I will be honest and say the sight of Tony down last night did not bring the same level of desperation/helplessness as a fan as the many other times in the past - we can win with Dak too..... With that for now....long live Tony!

Dude please try to keep it civil. I'm just trying to measure the fan base's thoughts on our overall chances to truly make this a special season. I made it a yea or nea poll with no in between because nea can spark conversation around resting Romo at certain stages of the season (like when we have a playoff berth wrapped up). That doesn't mean he won't lead us deep into the playoffs. It's just viewing the glass realistically... & it doesn't make anyone a bad fan.

I think you echo my gut feelings. I'm right there with you.

Too much optimism about the collarbone and not enough realism about his back.
Exactly what Troy A said..........his collarbone is the least of his worries, his back is the lynchpin to his career.

I believe our coaching staff is going to have their hands full this year managing wins with our wiley vet AND also managing to keep our young up & comer ready. A good problem to have for sure. It seems like just yesterday that we were talking about the John Kitnas of the world.

So make a post asking if we're going to have a special season then. The limited options of a poll really don't matter when it's embedded on a message board and the question posed is relatively loaded.

Asking if we are going to have a special season would never encourage the depth of responses that I have already received. So there's that. ;)

What percentage of QB's make it through an entire NFL season. Regardless of age the odds of this happening are not great.

Look at Carson Wentz. Dude got his ribs broken on the first preseason game.

This sport is too violent to expect any QB to play 16 games any more.
