The problem is tony isnt coached the right way.
He doesnt practice sliding or going down, so as you saw in the game he is very awkward, and not good at it, which led to him getting hit like that.
They evidently dont work on throwing the ball away instead of running with it.
Tony needs to realize he isnt 26 anymore, and there is always another play or set of downs, so just chunk that ball into the ground if you have to.
What better a penalty or getting hit and injured?

All the other older qb's work on getting the ball out quickly to avoid the situation tony was in last nite.
P.Manning and brady get it out quick, so they take less hits, and less bad situations.
Rodgers and Brees also are quick , but not as quick, and as a result brees got hurt last year and Rodgers, is still good at avoiding or taking hits, so he can hold
it longer.

Tony his mobility seems to be severely lacking, so he is going to take the hits, and he is awful at sliding or going down safely.

So my point is if he worked on these things he would probably not get hurt , but he isnt working on any of them.
And JG needs to make him work on these things.

They've been trying to do that for years and it hasn't worked. He has that Favre gene in his body.
Yep and the only way Holmgren could handle him was to put a better team around him to balance his style of play.

We get a QB that idolizes Favre and starts to play just like he play and we think coaching can change that? It's pure instinct and can't be coached out. Everything is peachy until the ball gets snapped.

Would love to say yes but with his injury history and the clock ticking it's hard to say he'll play all 16. Hopefully I'm wrong. The only bright spot is him having the best O-Line in football protecting him. But when the pocket collapses, nobody's open and he starts to do his razzle dazzle, that's when his injury will most likely occur.

It's very difficult to get your back, back to 100% when you've had a serious injury and the older you get the harder it is. Hopefully the emergence of Zeke and friends will alleviate the risk once the Boys go back to a more ground and pound game.

He will not finish 16 games if history is the indicator of the future. I am ready to go young...even if that means 1-15, 4-12, 8-8. 12-4, 15-1 or 19-0...

I would love to have a team where there was no one over 30 unless they were healthy....mind you I won't get my wish...

I'm hopeful that Romo able to play in all sixteen games but being realistic here I'll say around nine games at best. It's really depends on the type of injury Romo would be dealt with and how he (and the doctors ) deal with. That being said, I more comfortable than last season with the backup qb situation with Dak backup Romo and being able to play well.

All off-season, I've been saying he won't start 16 more games, period. I hold to that.

Everyone could see this coming, well everyone except Jed Clampett and son. Not to pile on Jerry, but that contract for a qb with 2 back surgeries is comical, if it wasn't so sad.

I guess they had to commit, but in doing so, you fortify the backup qb spot and put a nasty defense out there. They did neither. Maybe they'll luck out with Prescott. Hard to have even the slighted confidence in this operation, particularly the front office.

About 15% couldnt. Sadly this was the easiest call of the year.
