Who do you have more confidence in getting through a full season without any injuries - Romo or Sean Lee??

I'd sure like to be in some poker games with the morons who think that Romo will remain healthy and start all 16 games

This is going to work out where the people who didn't like Tony Romo before 2014 all think he's too hobbled to continue to play much longer and the people who liked him from the get-go want to see him continue to be the kind of player he's always been.

The collarbone worries (the idea that he's at a higher risk of a broken collarbone than any other QB due to the strength of his bones) can pretty much be disregarded. The back problem is very real. It's a chronic condition at a part of the body that naturally takes direct hits during the course of a footballs season. We had a scare last night, and we're going to have several more during the year. It's football.

If Dak were the starter and the poll asked if he'd likely start every game, I'd have voted 'no' for him, too. QBs take beatings in this league. At the end of the day, Tony's healthy enough to play at a very high level. If that changes, then it changes. Right now, we're just lucky to have two legit options at QB, with Moore coming back by week 8 if we need a backup to our current backup at some point.

Not 100% accurate. I admitted that I was one of those that didn't like Romo well before 2014 and that I have seen the light over the last 5 plus years.

I was converted & I want to see him lead us to the promise land this year. I'm so adamant about this year because I fully believe the window is not only closing. That Romo window more closely resembles a cosmetic cruise ship porthole nowadays.

I agree with everything else in your post btw. We should feel fortunate to have what we have in Romo and Dak.

Just no. No to Kellen Moore.

I think he'll start most of the games. Finishing them is another matter.

The coaches need to pound in Romo's head that he needs to either throw the ball away or just go down when there is nothing. Unless it's a playoff game, he needs to learn to live for another day.

They've been trying to do that for years and it hasn't worked. He has that Favre gene in his body.

Took a bet with a friend that Romo would start in at least 12 out of 16 regular season games today. Honestly though, if he gets hurt and misses meaningful time this year I think you have to start phasing Dak in permanently. I'm a massive Romo fan and he's my all-time favorite player, but this team is still young and could come out of a QB transition even better than before. The only thing I'm unsure of is how Romo's contract effects everything.

Our reality is that we have the most fragile starting QB in the league. He's sneezed at and sprains something. Last night's shot wasn't that bad but for Tony it was a if he was mortally wounded. Any other QB would've gotten up without that much trouble. A bad back has ended many QB's careers including Troy's and it might end Tony's soon.

The problem is tony isnt coached the right way.
He doesnt practice sliding or going down, so as you saw in the game he is very awkward, and not good at it, which led to him getting hit like that.
They evidently dont work on throwing the ball away instead of running with it.
Tony needs to realize he isnt 26 anymore, and there is always another play or set of downs, so just chunk that ball into the ground if you have to.
What better a penalty or getting hit and injured?

All the other older qb's work on getting the ball out quickly to avoid the situation tony was in last nite.
P.Manning and brady get it out quick, so they take less hits, and less bad situations.
Rodgers and Brees also are quick , but not as quick, and as a result brees got hurt last year and Rodgers, is still good at avoiding or taking hits, so he can hold
it longer.

Tony his mobility seems to be severely lacking, so he is going to take the hits, and he is awful at sliding or going down safely.

So my point is if he worked on these things he would probably not get hurt , but he isnt working on any of them.
And JG needs to make him work on these things.
