Will Scandrick help the way Lee did?

I was just talking about Scandrick. Lee is a different animal, he's the head of the defense, he calls the shots, he gets everybody lined up, he studies offenses like crazy, he knows offenses from the back of his hand. You can't coach that in drills or during practice. So I want a guy like that around our defense if he's hurt because he can help out a lot, he can do more than coaches can. But Scandrick? I mean it doesn't hurt having him in the meetings and if he sees Mo make a mistake or whatever let him be that additional guy to give his feedback but that's about it but let's stop comparing it to having Lee around, whether Scandrick shows up or not is not going to make a difference. In fact him being gone might get those other guys to bond a little more.

You have no idea how Scandrick interacts with the team or how his presence affects the team.

Sean Lee is a true leader. To expect the same contribution in any aspect from Scandrick is an erroneous assumption.

You guys crack me up with some of this interesting commentary. Guess that's what makes CZ so attractive.

Scandrick is a "true leader" too and I fully expect for him to be right there in meetings and on the sidelines helping raise the overall effectiveness of his crew.

I agree with the earlier post about how the presence of the injured player probably benefits the injured player more than the team. The rehab process isn't easy and I believe that being around teammates helps give you the drive to push through it. If you are off on your own, its probably easy to get depressed about your situation without the team's support system.

Showing up and participating when you're making 4 mill a year does not qualify you as a leader.

Lee's display of commitment to the team last year is not common for IR teammates to do. Not unheard of but uncommon. I don't expect that from OScan.

What the heck is this about?

It is about stereotypical assumptions about two people that no one here knows personally. I find it quite amusing and disgusting that people without giving it a second thought would delineate players based on leadership, intelligence, and work ethic without knowing them. I heard a dog whistle and responded in kind.

I'm guessing you guys missed the part where he cried his eyes out, said he wasn't going back to CA and that he wanted to be around the team as much as possible.

What did Lee do? I don't see why Scandrick can't do what he did.

Shhh!. Let's continue the fairy tale of how brilliant Lee is how how much leadership he brings and how MUCH HE HELPS THE COWBOYS while injured. Lee is in the mold of the departed Bill Bates. Slow, oft-injured but full or bravado from the sidelines.

I half never been a fan of Scandrick but even Scandrick half contributed 100 % more than an injured Lee. But I will pitch in to hep pay for the Sean Lee statue that will stand next to Landry's.

We've all heard how Lee stayed in the meeting rooms all season long with his injury and how he helped the guys on defense during the week.

They only problem with what you heard, is that players that are put on IR cannot attended team meetings though they can workout at the facility and travel with the team.

I'll never understand the love myself. If fans had their way Lee would go into the ring of honor. I like the guy just like the next person but he's about as dependable as Troy Aikman coming Of retirement to lead us to a Super Bowl.

Don't know why he would ever want to marry a chick like that.

Definition of a gold digger.

Cuz she's a pro

And let's not act like the man is an angel out on the road.

I know I wouldn't be.

But to answer op's question

I would be surprised if he was helpful in anyway this season
