Will the McCarthy adopt the "Rugby Scrum"?

The league is apparently allowing this play going forward. Since Philly was extremely successful with it, no doubt we will see it more throughout the league this year.

"Rugby Scrum" is a qb sneak where two players push the QB forward for short yardage TD's/1st downs.

Do you think the Cowboys will use it? or do you see it as a cheap way to get td's/1st?

I would use it as long as the league is going to allow it, or at least until teams figure out a reliable defense for it.

Editing to add - we could even direct snap to Luepke and push him forward.
is there any good D against it? the olinemen dive low and on top of that somebody is pushing the QB.its hard to stop them from getting atleast 1 yard.

Hope not, but it remains to be seen. Buffalo, Cincinnati, Baltimore and Philly all used it last year.
Denver and Seattle have said they are going to work on the technique.

Like Peter King, my opinion is it is dangerous to the players involved.
Once a couple of QBs, or lineman have season ending injuries the NFL will ban it.
Doesn't really make sense in light of all the player safety issues to subject QBs "to be treated like endangered objects in the middle of trash-compactors,” King writes.

How about a linebacker times it perfectly, jumps over the line and clothelines Hurts. WWE style..

Kansas City did that in the SB. Can't find the video and can't remember it.
They run a TE sweep off the same formation. Can't go all in on Hurts without accounting for Kelce too.

When you have the best Oline in football, all pro center, and a QB like Hurts than you can do that kind of stuff.

I’m pretty sure they drafted a DT with the first pick to stop it so I would say so.

It really comes down to if Dak can do it.

He’s a big guy with a lot of power but there’s a reason this is pretty much a Jalen Hurst anomaly.

Let face it though, the sneak has been a huge part of the NFL for decades. We will continue to use ir, like every other team, regardless of whether we do the “push”.

This storyline of Luepke or even Deuce being some kind of short yardage miracle worker is just post draft wishful thinking.

Short yardage will continue to be Dak sneaking or a RB on a dive play.
