No the season won't be over. The Cowboys will make the playoffs. Then I'll have the pleasure of seeing how they choke this year in the playoffs like I've done for the last 28. Every year I ask the Cowboys to show me this year is different and every year they fail.
You'll take pleasure in that? We have some clowns as fans. I swear!

As for the question... the season will be over for me on February 12, 2024.

I didn't think we would have much success this year anyway, so no, this game doesn't mean much to me.

I always want the Cowboys to win though, I've just learned to live with a lot of disappointment.

Lose? no. Look ridiculous like the last 2 playoff games? not gonna feel great about them.

It's early in the season but should the Cowboys lose to the 49ers, it will have detrimental affects not only playoff placement wise, it will also have a negative mental affect on the Cowboys and their fans.
It will be hard going through the rest of the season, even if the Cowboys get on a roll, knowing that no matter what they do they will still likely lose (again) to the 49ers should they meet in the playoffs.
I usually do not post the observation because the site is a great place to vent but this is depressingly early in a season.

Pretty much, yeah. I mean, it would depend on how they lose. It depends on how they play them.

But yeah, losing to this team three times in a row like that would tell me that this Cowboys team just doesn't have what it takes. Pretty sure...

No. We've seen plenty of big regular season wins for this team. A deep Post season run is what I'm longing for

Only matters for seeding.

No. Just got to get to the tournament.
This is false. NFL playoffs for the most part, seeding holds form when it gets to the conference championship round. Especially in the NFC. Sure, there are some outliers here and there but there is a reason why teams want those top seeds.

If we lose this week, we are now 2 losses behind the Niners and they hold the tiebreaker and also 2 losses (depending on their result this week) of the Eagles for our division. Not good at all. That Arizona loss means we have much less room for error going forward. This entire month will tell us exactly what we need to know about this team. And another SF loss shows us this team still has no idea how to beat them.

Seeding is huge in the NFL playoffs, especially in the NFC. There are outliers here and there but for the most part, the top seeds advance the furthest. A loss this Sunday puts us in a big hole early behind both the Niners and the Eagles. I would be the most worried about the Eagles because if we can't even at the least win our division, we have the same path as last year, where we have to go on the road every single week of the playoffs. Not a good recipe to try and make a deep run.

Its a game where people are vastly overpaid for their actual contribution to society.

So no, life happens everyday.

I care more about the atrocities being committed in multiple countries and we stand and stare

Go Cowboys!

The season was over for many here after the first 3 and out in game 1.

The season ain't over until the Dallas Cowboys have played their last game.
Whether they go 0-17, 20-0, or somewhere in between.

"I live to watch the games."

I haven't read all the other post but wanted to post my thoughts.. I honestly feel like the 9ers are slightly better right now and riding a very high wave of confidence throughout their entire team. When I look at our offense I see some big question marks and legit concerns and the biggest one is Dak's mental makeup and consistency..
They're at home, so if we're all being honest they should win this game against us so losing is not the end of the world in my opinion. I honestly think that if we have a good showing it could propel us to beat them in the playoffs the second time around should we face them.... I'm really going into this game hoping for the best but expecting a loss until they prove they can get the monkey of their backs...
