Will Today be a Big News Day?

So what you are saying is a .500 record is good enough? I hope not.

Anyhow, the Packers could have been 7-9 and still took 2nd place in the division. It just shows you how pathetic not only the NFCN is, but the entire NFC period.
Where did I say that? Pay real close attention.

I am simply pointing out that this year there were basically 7 good division winners, 1 so-so division winner (Seattle), one very decent wild card team (Jets) and a lot of teams right where Green Bay was or a game above.

You made it seem like 8-8 is a death sentence. Not in 2006 as most teams that finished 2nd in their divisions had that exact record. It's called parity.

The fact remains that the Packers over achieved. They were pegged everywhere as the bottom feeder of the NFCN and they weren't at all. None of that is Favre in your mind?

I doubt that. Oh by all means go right on hating the guy if you do. I don't care. If you imagine that Aaron Rodgers could have done the same, or Chris Simms, or some other young QB I think you're sadly mistaken. Favre knew the team and guided them to wins they couldn't count on. That's the mark of a guy who deserves to be in the NFL.

Hostile, (no use in quoting everyting)

All I was saying was Farve has no business starting for a rebuilding team. The reason this started was because it was said that Bledsoe wouldn't be a backup and I said Farve wouldn't either and I didn't blame either because they have been prolific QBs throughout their career.

I'd start Favre over a lot of people in this league. I can't say the same for Bledsoe at this point.

We can agree to disagree.

BTW: Besides EJWhitely (who indeed drafted cause he could play at 5 OL positions) was told by Parcells before he injuried that he (Parcells) wanted Whitely to focus on Center & Guard jobs.

Oh yeah. Whitley just got cut -- his rehab must have gone poorly
