Will we do right thing w/ Barber ??

Choice can't be trusted as a blocker for Romo. That is why he didn't get more playing time this game.

I knew you would eventually come over to the dark side. :D :p: ;)

What? I've been calling for Choice since he got here...

Choice had 92 yards on 8 carries today. I"m just saying.

When Barbarian went back in on one series, he popped the LB coming up the center on a delayed blitz so hard he blasted the guy off his feet. It was a hard enough impact you could hear that particular hit over the rest of the action. It was crazy.

That Choice is more skilled than Barber is arguable at this time, that may change though with more playing time for Choice. Now if when Barber is 100% and Choice is showing more than Barber you may be on to something. At this moment I still go with Barber(if healthy) because of the passion he brings to the game.Overall I cannot disagree with anything you say,I'm just looking at it slightly different at this time.I hope Felix can get and stay healthy,he just brings that "wow" factor that you can't teach a player. This team is set at the running back position if they can stay healthy, which like you said,is a good problem to have.

just putting my two cents in

Gee, Barber is really unappreciated it seems

He runs like a violent and crazy centaur (in a good way)

I like Choice but lets curve the better talk at least for now
I don't think anything is proven as far as that goes

Dudes I don't believe Choice will ever be better than Barber in blocking but as a runner there's nothing to debate. Choice is better and he needs more reps. What else is there to see? 200 yd game with 2 touches?? Last year he lit up top 5 defenses (Plural.) This year he's lighting it up again with LIMITED reps. Open your eyes it's clear as day....

Understood.

I only mentioned Joe Buck because he doesn't know as much about football as Troy Aikman.

And if a person like Joe Buck can recognize a trend, then what does it say about Jason Garrett?

Man, don't even get me started on that. All I'll say is that he is lacking in the ability to call games taking into account what is or isn't working, and that includes use of his personnel.

WOW... gotta love a "our fans"... No one was talking about this after week two when Barber tourched the Giants for 124 yds... No one wanted Choice to start after his whopping 3.7ypc avg coming into this game. Once again we get carried away with one game. I mean what about his 2.4ypc avg last week? There was no talk of him starting today? But as soon as he lights up the CHIEFS he's annointed! I like T.C. alot.... but why do we get so carried away with one game, and some stuff that happened last season? If it ain't broke don't fix it... and certainly (other than disappearing in the play calling) our running game is not broken.

IMO, our running game is NOT catered to Barber's style of running at all... he is not a draw/delay type of a runner... When he gets the ball running downhill, that is where he is at his best!

As for those saying that Choice will get better with his blitz pick up with game experience, have you seen Tony Romo protect the ball when he gets hit? How many times do you let him get hit by an unblocked blitzer before it's enough?

IMO, Barber is the heart and soul of the offense... over the last three years, when we needed a big play he's been the one to make that play (see 77yd TD run vs. Arizona '08)... He needs to be on the field period!

Dont forget that Barber is our best blocker out of the backfield.

Its funny how people are jumping off Barber's ship when a couple of years ago they were fascinated with him.

Relax and wait until Barber is healthy. We will need all 3 TB's

BTW, excellent post AmericasTeam31. Couldnt have said it better myself.

It's not like we don't like Barber or anything, but most people here think Barber is better served in the closer role, with a couple carries spinkled throughout the game, He still would get 10 carries a game, but more importantly, he comes in fresh when defenses are tired, meaning a more effective MBIII..

something is wrong with barber He's not healthy or his running style is taking a toll on HIm.

The decision on who should get the most carries should depend on who is performing in the match rather then starting the game thinking Barber will get this many, Choice that many, Jones a few as well. It was clear Choice was out performing Barber this game so he should have been brought in for more carries. Next game Barber could be performing better, so he would deserve more. It's simplying putting the ball in the hands of your best performer on the day.
