A thought given the Harvin trade, will Jerry make a move? Past history says yes... also given that we may be close and a contender.. A defensive lineman? I was thinking about say Gerald McCoy of Tampa.. Young, talented and would make a very good 3 technique... Not to say I was advocating that, but wanted to start the discussion going on if we might trade and if so, who?

Only possibility I see is for a defensive lineman. Gerald McCoy is a possibility. Other possibility is Ndamukong Suh. There have been rumors that the Cowboys have been interested in Suh. I know he has a bad rep but if anyone can get the best out of him, it is Marinelli.

Yep, I though to Suh too, but ruled him out because Detroit is still in contention.

I don't see us trading for a Dlineman as we have to capable, developmental 3 techs and those are the only valued interior positions. Brent, Hayden, Mcclain, Bishop in some combination would handle the 1 for the forseeable future. A DE is a possibility but I don't see why you would get someone now with Spencer getting back his form and Lawrence coming.

Lawrence and Brent will be your late season acquisitions that will bolster the team.

Granted, not likely, but he will be a free agent next year.....So, if say, I am not advocating this, a number one and a three, would you i.e. TB be interested?

3tech (and MLB) is possibly the most promising defensive position on the roster right now with how much they love Crawford there.

We have our DL. And have yet to see Lawrence, Brent and maybe Okoye. Sure they want to see what they have 1st. Our DL is getting healthier and better each week it seems.

the date is fast approaching, and the one position i am most concerned about is cornerback. an injury to scandrick or carr would be devastating.

I mentioned it before and if I was GM I would make that trade. Gerald McCoy is the only defensive FA I would want to come here. He will make this defense dominant. If Tampa takes a 2nd rounder for him, I would bite. But I doubt they will.
