I sure as hell don't want to see him. He is NOT ready. He probably sucks at running his routes, as he should considering he didn't play the pos. in college and the fact that he has been injured for the past few months.

I hope we don't see him or at least half of the season, and maybe more.

Will I. Stanback be put in as a WR on Monday at all (assuming no new injuries force it)? Is WR a position where you might rotate in a backup to have fresh legs towards the end of the game? Would he be of value for a "trick play" or even as a decoy (as we used to use Deion sometimes on O)?

JJT, is that you? This is the sort of mistake you would make in print.

I'm not banging on you pancakeman, just making a silly jab at JJT and the inaccuracies in his articles. I don't think we will see Stanback. Although giving him a play or two to utilize his speed might not be a bad idea.

Before I start betting on Stanback, I'd go after Keyshawn, 1 year contract for 2 million and let's keep moving (assuming this Glenn injury is season ending)....

His full potential is not this season, but I damn sure think they need to get that freaking FOURTH ROUND DRAFT PICK ON THE DAMN FIELD to at least catch a screen pass.

Yes, some are making this way too complicated. I am pretty sure he can run a few patterns properly throughout a game. Just get the ball in his hands. Pitts did it well with Randle El his first year. Stanback is no different as far as the learnig curve.

No. Stanback is for next year. I don't expect him to get on the field this year. And I'm cool with that.

I'm not.

We only have 4 WR's at the moment.

Stanback <- Developmental WR.

We can't even run a 5 WR set.

If Stanback can play WR, then he has to play.

Otherwise...we need to find another WR.

I think we'll start seeing a tiny bit Stanback in the 2nd half of the season, not at all the first half. And when we do see him, it will be limited or it will be some sort of trick play to take advntage of his multiple skills. If a game is close in the 2nd half of the season and we're in playoff contention, I could see us trying a trick play with him.
