I won't be satisified until a Super Bowl (s) are won. I will be happy for the team for sticking to together and becoming a team this season and hope they build on that for next season if they are one and done this season.

But, satisfaction is felt when Romo holds up the Lombardi.

It's funny you ask this cause I was just about to post something about my hatred for the Eagles but it can go right here.

Now I've always hated Philly. Always. And when I was a kid it was easy to realise why and it's cause they were the bullies of the NFC East. When I first started watching Dallas they'd just kick our butts every time we played. I hated them.

But as I've gotten older, despite getting better than them through the 90's and so on, my hatred of them has grown so much more than my hatred for the Commanders or Giants has grown.

My children will often ask me why it is that I hate them so much more now then I ever did when like the Giants have gone to a couple of Superbowls and even won one since then.

I could never explain it, fully, until today. I just thought it was cause it was Philly but a conversation I had on another set of forums this morning led me to some searching of some stuff and I came upon the reason why I hate them more than anyone and beating them means so much more every time now.

2000-2004

Those seasons. You'll all recall them and you'll all recall what game started that run off.

The Pickle Juice game.

Now most people just remember that pickle juice game as it's really the only one that is famous, I guess, cause of the onside kick to start the game and calling it the Pickle Juice game.

But some greater study on this, and I guess I'd simply blocked all this horrible stuff out of my mind, is that from 2000-2004 the Eagles beat us every single time we faced but once. We beat one time during that run 23-21.

But it isn't just that they beat us and I only came to realise it just this morning. It wasn't just that they won but it was the fact that every time during that time frame, with the exception of our 1 win, they absolutely throttled us.

Look it up if you've blocked it out as well. They beat us by 20 or more every friggen time they won during that run. We didn't even play well against them. They just beat us to death.

Now I know why I hate them so much more every day and why I want us to beat them so badly Saturday night and just why exactly Sunday night and blanking them felt so good.

Of course i won't be happy about a loss.

But if you mean, would i consider it a step in the right direction then, yes. Would i want Wade back, yes, because there seems to be quite a bond building among these players and they BELIEVE in each other. You have to at least give the HC some credit for that. I also want this defense to keep rolling next year and i want that continuity for this team. They are mostly young, except the OL and if they keep making strides in the right direction then yes i'll be happy.

It would be something but not satisfied. Victory over the hated Eagles and a playoff victory monkey off their backs. That would be good but not great.

I guess I would be certainly be happy but soon after wanting more. I agree with those who say that if they beat Philly they are going to roll right along.
