Since 1969 (50 seasons) 1st Steelers Cowboys 2nd
Since 1979 1st T Patriots, Steelers Cowboys 5th
Since 1989 1st Steelers Cowboys 9th
Since 1999 1st Patriots Cowboys 10th
Since 2009 1st Patriots Cowboys 10th

It's just a simple stat that is not trying to say anything about the current team.

And no, that 57.3% regular season win % was not built soley in the 70s. In fact, it was improved upon in the Romo years (61.4%) and continues to be improved upon the last three years (66.7)

But what WE ALL really want is to see is more meaningful POST SEASON success.
No need to piss on the past though

The bottom 3 teams have been to a SB since the last time the Cowboys went. 7 of the teams under .500 have gone to a SB.
They were pretty awful for long time in the 70s. Takes a while to overcome those years

I've told this to people time and time again. Regular season win percentage doesn't mean much. Most of the teams that are lower than expected here rebuilt their teams maybe even a few times and/or their divisions are better than the NFC East.

There is kinda a mess up the Browns and Ravens. I think the new Browns record should start from when they came back and the Ravens should just carry over from old Browns.
