Or you can spend a Number 1 overall, and get virtually the same thing that Dak and Romo have given you.

If I counted Correctly, that's 47 QBs. Of those 47, 4 have won a Super Bowl (bold and underlined), 7 have been to a Super Bowl (bold), and only a Dozen or so can be considered "Franchise QBs".
And of the 7 total Super Bowl playing QBs, Rex, Eli, Ben, Aaron, Matt and Joe, the one you can say was "offensively lead" was Ryan's 2016 Falcons. Aaron needed the #5 Total D and #2 Scoring D in 2010 to win, and we've all seen what he can do when the team "doesn't put the pieces around him"
So we can spend swing big for QBs until the Cows come home, but without the proper coaching, scheme and development, it would take more Luck than Skill to actually do anything of note. And even with Luck, both the QB and karma version, that does not mean they will ever win anything.
So please don't think a 1st Round Pick QB is just going to succeed under a Garrett regime because while I don't know the future, I would be willing to bet they will not have any more success than Dak or Romo.
