That "throw away" was never as bad as people thought. But more importantly he has a very good Oline in Denver, and very good weapons in Brandon Marshall, and Eddie Royal.

None of Bears recievers can hold those guy's jock, and the offensive lines aren't even close.

Thing is even in Denver Cutler has not had 1 single year where he has played better than Romo. Cutler has fewer TD passes and has thrown more Ints than Romo.

Romo TD passes 94 ints 51
Cutler 68 TD passes and 54 ints

While Romo has had to face NY, Philly and Washington

Cutler has had to face SD,KC and Oakland

Ok ok.. let me get this straight... if they add plays to the playbook.. then they are doing it because they are trying to reign in Romo?

If they take plays out of the playbook, they are doing it because Romo has to be put on a leash and they're dumbing it down for him?

You inserted that last part yourself...I didn't say they took out plays, did I?

By all means, go on thinking Romo is not on a leash or that he hasn't been limited which has translated to the recent success.

I know Cutler isnt a terrible QB. But it is fun to watch him pout and struggle since he just seems like a bad dude. And its fun to watch the swings in fans reactions to ups and downs. I would never trade romo for cutler. But i can think of a few QB's i would trade cutler for. Assuming he humbles himself and stops drinking his own bathwater.

Romo's success of late is tied in no uncertain terms to a far more restrained playbook and handcuffing him from improvising as much as he did in the past.

No I didn't.

What leash is he on? Romo has been working on being a more careful with the ball, moving around with 2 hands on the ball but other than that he has not been limited in the kinds of throws he makes or the amount of passes he throws.

LOL. Without knowing the playbook, how can one claim, let alone, show that it has been limited for Romo, and therefore can be (part) of the reason he may be playing better?

It's rather presumptuous and silly.

Exaggerate much?...Like I said, you'd be in the minority if you believed Romo isn't being limited...There's a big reason why his INTs were significantly down
Uh, yeah, because he is playing better.

Maturing QB =/= limited playing.

Quoting YPA doesn't change what I pointed out if your receivers are stacking those stats with their YAC...Romo hasn't checked down much this year because his history with checking down has been one his problems...He's being limited from improvising or going away from the first/second option
You and I are not watching the same team.

What the D is giving them?...You're living in fantasy land...This has been by design, it's not sinking in for ya there champ...Romo is most certainly on a leash

Curses! The "because I say so" card. Can't trump that, you win.

This thread is pointless. Cutler had a horrific game, so now he's a bum?

How many people would have traded Romo away after his 5 int game against buffalo last year?

What about Warners 5 int game two weeks ago. Is he a bum?

The timing of these threads amaze me.

Halfway through the season Cutler has seventeen interceptions.

Seventeen.

I don't care how bad your receiving corps or O-line is, that is god awful any way you slice it. Through nine games he has 4 with multiple ints (5, 4, 3, 2) and 14 TDs while airing it out 340 times which is 70 more than Romo has this year and all of about 130 less than Orton all of last year.

Meanwhile Orton has gone to Cutler's old team, is utilizing his old weapons, and has 9 TDs to only 4 INTs while airing it out 270 times.

Looking at that Cutler is absolutely a bum and one not likely to change given his conduct at Chicago so far, the sort that would have gotten Romo lynched if he pulled it down here in Texas.

All Cutler has to do is win a playoff game and he's surpassed Romo's accomplishments.

Before he can think about doing that, he has to focus on actually getting a team hes QBing TO the playoffs for once. He hasn't done it yet as a starter in the league while Romo has done so twice, failing the third time in part due to being unable to play.

Now how many of the posters that were willing to trade romo for Cutler "in a heartbeat" are willing to answer up and admit that they not only missed on their evaluation of Cutler but also on their evaluation of Tony Romo?

It took 10 seconds with the search button to find a funny post from a few months back where a good amount of veteran posters were ready to send our QB to denver for that bloated ego maniac.

Read through and remember how bad the Romo hatred and Cutler love was around here.

I sure didn't want Cutler. He's not coachable at all.

The only players I would consider trading Romo for aren't going to be available in the first place.

The Cutler is better than Romo blowhards are being called out and don't like it. They don't like their own words being brought up.

You said it. Now you are being called out. Man up and admit your football ignorance all you Cutler admirers.

I'm sure you all are the type to rip Jerry Jones any chance you get.

Ok ok ... Twist my arm why don't you... I'll admit that post #101 was spot on.

I would also like to add a little Singletary plug for those of us (& you know who you are) that call other Boys fans out for spontaneous combustion when we lose a game but feel it's perfectly ok to do the same when Singletary loses just because some of us would have clearly preferred him over the Michelin Man. We could have had the stellar defense and a great up & coming head coach.

Singletary's never won any playoff games either you know. I'll withhold judgment on him for a while yet too.

Exactly. I would only trade Romo for Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.

I'll never understand how a true Cowboy fan could say this.

Hey Manning and Tom Brady are better but guess what? Ill take Romo because he is OUR guy.

Romo is a Dallas Cowboy. He is our guy.

He isn't a ex-Bronco, Ex-Colt, Ex-Patriot, or any other teams Ex- QB.

He is a Dallas Cowboy and ill sink or swim with him every year.

If he sucked I would understand not wanting him but he doesn't so why would you even say this about the guy QB'ing your "favorite" team.

I love me some me.

I'll admitt it. Though I will also say evaluating Cutler's play in Chicago I think is pointless. When was the last time a QB was succseful there? Cutler is much better than he shows. That said I would probably disagree now with someone saying Romo for Cutler but Im not sure its absolute insanity. Romo does well in Decemeber and the playoffs, then its insanity.
That Christmas in Dallas is absolutely horrible!!!!!
