Pollard isn't a bell cow back; his body can't take a bell cow's share of carries in a game. He's the most explosive player on the team but he can't carry the ball 25+ times in a game like Zeke Elliott can.

I'd personally like to see a lot of running from Prescott to replace a lot of Zeke's carries. A lot of Cam Newton in his prime in Carolina or that ex 49ers QB from ten years ago whose name is censored on this forum, in his prime style stuff like QB draw up the middle, QB power, read option out. Prescott is a strong and tough runner and unlike Pollard should be able to get the tough yards up the gut on short downs, not just with sneaks but also with designed runs. Also don't be afraid to run Prescott early and often on 1st and 10 with empty formation or motioning Pollard in and out.

My issue is we may need to use someone like Hendershot or Ferguson in the backfield with Prescott often as sort of an H-back, like Romo did often with Hanna... instead of only Pollard as the ace tailback especially when we're going to pass because Pollard for all his qualities is one of the worst pass protecting backs in the NFL when Elliott is objectively one of the best if not the very best in the NFL at that specific skill.

So you want a QB that has suffered several injuries, including a severely broken ankle in 2020, to make the tough runs up the middle and to run more? Do you miss Rush at QB that much because that is what will happen very quickly if Dak starts running.

Didn’t Jerry already call a few designed rush plays for Dak? I’m being serious. I thought I heard that a the presser???

I wouldnt worry, Davis is more capable of fulfilling Zeke's inside physical role than he is Pollard's.

Im sure Malik know's this is his chance and picking up the blitz is probably the defining aspect of whether he stays on the roster.

But yes you're right in that we need Dak to be able to flash a rushing ability to keep the secondary honest.

They aren't going to run Dak after a thumb injury. Pollard/Davis will be just fine.

Let Prescott pass like he's supposed to. Have a balanced offense with Dak passing. There is absolutely no reason to keep Dak at QB if he's just a minor upgrade to Cooper Rush. I know he's better than Rush, but he has to prove it. This game would be a good start.

I'd like to see Pollard have 25 for caries for 150.
Put a end to the "tony can't" nonsense.
No when you said that he can’t take the load. When he can’t do is pass protect

This offense is not set up to run the QB.

This is Pollard's chance to show he can be that back and make Elliott expendable this off season because I do not see Pollard taking a backseat to Elliott when this contract is up. This is probably his only chance at the brass ring.

And don't think the Bears' DC isn't aware that Pollard is not the pick up blocker that Elliott is, Prescott better get that ball out quickly on passing downs.

If they are losing run Dak. If not he should stay in the pocket. You pay backs to run and QB's to throw. Let those guys do what they're paid to do.
