With Lance and Rush potentially leaving in the off season, what do we do?

if you understood the cap, which you obviously don't...actually look at cap hits of other QBs in the league. why is it our QB salary has handicapped the mental midgets in our front office, but there are teams competing at a high level with similar contracts!!!!
Don't forget to add in the cash from the voidable years.

No other player in the NFL has an average cap hit larger than Dak. No one. There is no "similar" contract.

The Cowboys also signed CeeDee to one of the highest contracts for a WR and you can expect Parsons to receive the highest contract for a defensive player.

In 2025 Dak's contract will be a 90 million dollar hit.

No one on this forum completely understands the way the salary cap works. It may shock you to learn I've included you.

thank you for making my point. the stupidity of our GM. regardless average per years is not too different. some teams are able to manage, some claim they are handicapped because they don't want to spend money.
somehow eagles have paid out so many top 5 position contracts and have 63M in dead cap, and yet cowboys with 27M in dead cap are handicapped.

who put them in that position? why is it that Eagles, Detroit, etc. all are able to get 55M AAV fit under the cap and continue to sign big name players and be active in FA, yet, we have one 60M contract and we are doomed!!!

sorry the idiocy lies with Jerry. my point that we don't manage cap well. because we don't want to.

it may shock you to know that I understand the cap better than you do. You sound like you work for Jerry and Stephen. tell me do they have a book of excuses they train you on?

and Goff. Herbert (yes, they are in 3rd place, but 8-6). Love.
Burrows, has the cinci offense humming, only if their defense was middle of the pack. they actually have the #1 passing offense. top 5 scoring offense.

so there is more than just those 2. and kudos to KC, for being risky and handing out a 10 year contract. unprecedented in the NFL and very risky. but its paying off.
he is a generational talent and we are lucky to watch him play.
If a team is going to pay one player 1/5th of the salary cap, then they must be absolute geniuses at both drafting and trading.

Burrows D is middle of the pack because they had to release players to pay him. That's the whole point, dude!!!!!!!

Rush isn't going anywhere. Jerry has already told us not in so many words we aren't doing anything different because he chose to cripple the team paying Dak. The gang is all coming back.

Jerry shocks nobody by trading for Deshaun Watson in hopes that this environment will turn him around....just like it did for Trey Lance and Ryan Leaf.

But seriously, what about getting Justin Fields as backup.....he'd be our best rusher by a mile
Please don’t give him any ideas.

which players did the Bengals lose that caused their defensive collapse? they were 21st in 2023 and 31 in 2024. its not like they were great to begin with.
and are you suggesting they shouldn't have signed Burrows?

and what about Detroit? Philly? GB? SD? Balt? all doing well with highly paid QBs.

if you are a good GM, if you know what you are doing, if your primary goal is to win championships, then its doable.
if you are incompetent like Jerry, you give excuses and fans buy into it given their bias one way or the other.

Burrow plays for maybe the only FO that is worse than ours.
