3-2 looks like the season is still on. 2-3 looking at 2-4 square in the face heading into bye begins to light the 3 Alarm dumpster fire.

3-3 we can handle and survive. And heading to 2-3 SF after the bye doesn’t look quite as daunting as before the season.

3-2 has kept playoff hopes alive. 2-4 facing 2-5 I’d argue season was basically over. And the collapse begins.

As always the NFL is a week by week league. You’re only as good as your last game. Right now we have our heads above water at 3-2. And not on life support yet.

It was huge. Getting a win in a hostile environment…3-0 on the road….basically it gives you the confidence you can go anywhere and win despite the circumstances. Very good win.

Now you face Detroit and are 0-2 at home. A place where you were undefeated for some time…

Didn't you already tell us in your Dak hero thread?
This provides a little different spin as I didn’t discuss or go into these specific outlooks .

But yea it’s another attempt to emphasize how huge the win over Steelers and being 3-2 is.

I know it must be very uncomfortable for all of the detractors who were ready to set the alarms and ignite the dumpster fires falling to 2-3. Lol

We can't win at home, can't stop the run and our O is painful to watch. These 3 metrics vs. the Lions who will also be seeking revenge on us does not play well for us having a chance. Add the fact of our injuries, there should be no reason we are able to keep up to them. This is our biggest game of the year, and it will tell us where this team is at

Yes, and I don’t expect to win. But we can survive 3-3 at the bye. Not sure where 2-4 would have left us with 2 weeks to stew over it.

My hunch would have been pretty ugly, pretty pretty pretty pretty ugly.

In argue the Steelers was our biggest game thus far. It prevented a more likely loss to Lions sinking this team to 2-4 and everything that comes with that debacle.

Yall really triggered over a W it’s wild.
The detractors can’t handle the great opportunity missed from Cowboys pulling the win out.

We have much to boast about after Steelers win. Them, not so much.

And this also gets out in front of anticipation of going 3-3 which isn’t the potential collapse 2-4 could have brought.

For some reason Detroit doesn’t scare me. Maybe Gibbs and Hutchinson do but that’s about it.
They are a much better team than we are. Not often we are an underdog at home with a winning record.

It was the biggest game of the year up to Sunday mainly due to the fact we looked like garbage previously. The problem is we played a team that is highly overrated and will likely not have a sniff of the postseason. We are playing a legit Super Bowl contender with something to prove, so this game vs the Lions may not measure as the "biggest", but it indeed will give us a better idea of who we are. There really is no debate, as the rest of the NFC is full of question marks which I don't think many have expected

The Lions are better at home, but we are better on the road...something has to give

there will be opportunities for our pass game vs the lions pass defense.
lions ranked 23rd in opp. plays per game...and they give up alot of yds.
they are not unbeatable.
their defense struggles vs the pass.
i like our chances sunday.

Oh no doubt. But I’ve never been scared of facing Goff. Even though he just had a perfect game. We may get blown out of the building but this isn’t one of those 49er feelings for me.

I think we already know who we are. A team struggling for a WC spot. And we were a team on the brink of a collapse.

Steelers win had kept us treading barely above water preventing igniting the dumpster fires for now.

I’d argue 8-10 wins is where we will fall. 9 might get us in. 10 is very optimistic and would depend on getting most of those injured guys back sooner rather than later.
