3-2 looks like the season is still on. 2-3 looking at 2-4 square in the face heading into bye begins to light the 3 Alarm dumpster fire.

3-3 we can handle and survive. And heading to 2-3 SF after the bye doesn’t look quite as daunting as before the season.

3-2 has kept playoff hopes alive. 2-4 facing 2-5 I’d argue season was basically over. And the collapse begins.

As always the NFL is a week by week league. You’re only as good as your last game. Right now we have our heads above water at 3-2. And not on life support yet.
I really think we can beat them. They have more available bodies. But says the Steelers fans that the only reason Dak didn't make their defense look pitiful was because of his multiple unforced errors.

So given that Dak is moving the ball well even with middling receivers if this game gets into the 30s I have more faith in Dak than Goff.

Still we gotta score points. We gotta expect the defense won't be able to hold like they can against the Giants and Steelers and that the Lions will find some way to run on us, even tho I wouldn't be surprised if we're able to limit their run also. Just depends on how well Zimmer does his homework...hopefully well since he's faced the Lions dozens of times.

For the 2nd week in a row people are gonna count us out tho.

Need to draw Detroit into another one of these "ugly games" to have a shot. We cannot compete in a shootout or allow them to dominate TOP.

The reality is we are still playoff cannon fodder, so it's hard to get excited about a win over another team in the same mediocre category as us.

Fans like you are funny. You were praying for a loss to get on here and trash the QB. So many on here get more enjoyment from losses than wins and it's painfully obvious.
Feel better?

No sir....I absolutely did not pray for a loss. I too enjoy a win and was thrilled with it. If you detect any objection to this thread it certainly isn't that we won and dak pulled through at the end...WONDERFUL!

So stop making up BS in your head, mkay?

The win is great...and if I have any concerns about tougher teams I surely am a hater!

It's getting really ridiculous these days.

You already said Dak saved the season, why worry now?

I thought it was important to expand on the impacts of the Steelers win moving forward to Lions game .

Doesn’t sound like you read thru the post. Saving the season was about “ for now” not entire year.

I read the whole post. Dak saved our season is what you posted yesterday. Now, you are concerned?

Try something different.

It’s difficult for me to be too optimistic based on what we have already seen thus far .

But I won’t rule out the tide turning. This was a huge win which keeps us above life support for now . Another win against Lions then perhaps can begin adjusting my expectations .

I said he saved the season “ for now”. Words and their context are pertinent.

Which doesn’t mean I didn’t have concerns moving forward .

If Dallas wins this game I’ll be fully convinced that absolutely anything can happen. I think Detroits OL is going to dominate our decimated DL.

Hutchinson on Steele may have us discussing if the bye is enough time for Dak to be ready for SF.

Sorry but this one is a blowout the wrong way.

Hopefully the talk over the bye is about the awful reverse home/away splits and not if they can actually reattach Daks head.

yeah I have felt more indifferent than I have since the late 80s while watching this game and still my instincts just grab me and I wanted the win

It was a big win against the Steelers, but we need to move on from it. Detroit is a better team and it’s going to be back to doom and gloom if we lose that game. Currently we’re 3-0 on the road and 0-2 at home. Our home field advantage has disappeared. The Cowboys had won 16 straight regular season games at home prior to the loss to the Saints in week two. Things have gone sour at home and now we’re underdogs to the Lions at home on Sunday. We have to get off to a fast start against the Lions. We can’t afford to let them jump on us early.
