I'm on record saying Odighizuwa is the pick. If not him I'm still sure we go DL.

Those advocating at RB at 27 should prepare for disappointment because that ain't happening.

I think 27 is a bit high for him, wouldn't you agree? Most mocks have him going mid-2nd. I like him, but I personally don't think he warrants that high of a pick. I do want a D-Lineman though, just not a reach for one. If that's the case, I'd rather trade back a bit and accumulate another pick and still select he or someone like Orchard.

I'm not against drafting DBG.. Just not in the first.. Have you seen his rap sheet?

Not being funny, but I haven't and don't care honestly. The minute we resigned Josh Brent, we threw morality out the window. At 27, his 1st contract won't break the bank, but his playmaking ability can break defenses backs'!

27 might be a touch high but like last year, DE's will get drafted quickly and he will be a 1st rounder.

......someone the majority of this board will be a huge fan of as the perfect pick for that spot.

Much like our 2nd thru 7th round picks.

Just as a certain person (cough, cough, ahem) and his alter ego will be here to pan each and every draft pick along with each and every FA pick up and trade and every move the team makes.

The only special running back in the NFL is Adrian Peterson. There are tons of really good ones.

I would never draft a running back in the first round unless the guy is like AP.

Murray was a third rounder. Many of the best backs these days are later round picks.

In that case the Vikings will never let AP go, so we better get a good RB too.

I'm good with anything BUT a running back in Round One.

Based on need, I'm guessing (1) defense - and (2) front four or back four.

But somebody on offense may really slide down the board and present ridiculous value at the 27TH pick. If so, so be it.

His hips terrify me and while he looks the part and will test well I'd like to see more production.

I have a feeling it's going to be Gurley. Gorden will be gone and Gurley would have gone 10 spots higher then Gorden if it wasnt for the ACL

Assuming the Cowboys address DE thru FA and franchise Murray, if Gurley is there at 27 and is BPA (I think he would be BPA if he is there) why not take him? He's a powerful back with more top end speed than Murray, and if Murray is back for another year Gurley won't have to be ready to take a full load in September. I'm just not sold on the running back by committee concept in general and I'm not confident of the guys we have on the roster behind Murray. Can Gurley be a faster version of Marshawn Lynch? If yes, I have no problem grabbing him at 27.

With so much playmaking ability at his size and speed, he should've dominated at the college ranks but he simply didn't.

If Gordon is BPA, which at 27 something dramatic would have to happen for him not to be, I am all for it. When you have a shot at a player like that, even if it's not a weakness, you take him.

Trading back and trying to force yourself into a position to get a defensive lineman would be a huge mistake. A team would have to absolutely blow me away with a trade offer to get me to pass on Gordon.

I will hope for the best, but I don't agree with every pick they make. As good as Dallas has been picking, even they still miss from time to time. Everyone does.

All the draft picks can't turn out to be steals like Anthony Hitchens. They'll miss on some.

I was thinking the other day, that it would be nice to sign Dez, franchise Murray for 2015 and then draft Gurley, who could be used sparingly next year while Murray is the workhorse. Dallas would have another year to see if Murray could still stay healthy and Gurley would have a year to get back up to speed.

I doubt it happens, and frankly, I'm not a huge fan of RB's in the first round... but it is an interesting option.

If I had to bet I'd probably say Dez gets the franchise tag if anyone does and Dallas goes defense in round 1.

Why would you have to work a RB in? They are plug and play. I have no interest whatsoever in franchising Murray and using our 1st round pick on another RB.

Well, you do have three times as many likes as I do, so I'll submit to your football knowledge.

I don't think it's fair to compare him to Moss though, because Moss put up ridiculous numbers at Marshall. DBG's number's aren't nearly as great, they are pretty pedestrian actually. If I'm going to take a kid with all his red flags in the first 2 rounds, he better have Moss-like ability and the numbers just aren't there. Not saying DBG won't succeed at the next level, but with his past and average production, he's too much of a risk imo.

I'm comparing their freakish ability to go up and get it and to stay in trouble. The fact that after all his troubles, other D1 squads wanted him and took him. He didn't have to shoulder the load at Mizzou like Moss did at Marshall. The talent around them dictated that, but when the rock was tossed his way and high he was unstoppableunstoppable (DGB). Not to mention most still have him as a first rounder with all these troubles.

Our Line, WR corp and TE GROUP would be solid for years with DGB. Not to mention our RBs with Murray back. Talent and depth across the offense¡
With so much playmaking ability at his size and speed, he should've dominated at the college ranks but he simply didn't.
Not sure we're talking about the same kid, UT the one I'm talking about scored 17 TDs in 2 years of high D1 (SEC) competition. 12 coming in his last season played. Missouri is not short on talent and can spread the ball around to numerous playmakers. Go check Calvin Johnsons stats his 1st 2 college seasons. This kid is a freak athlete that will command double teams on size alone.

After we resign Murray we won't go RB in one. I think we will end up going Orchard, Rollins or Dawson. Orchard and Gurley seem like perfect fits for Baltimore at 26 and the type of players Ozzie usually targets. Hoping they take Gurley.
