I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries! Go and boil your bottom, son of a silly person!

Now that's a personal attack.

I fart in the general direction of this thread.....

Spags is saying that Norv would be a good fit right now because of the great offense during the 94 season, and he mentions the chance of bringing back Campo as DC.

Are we remarrying our first wife after our 4th divorce just because we had some good memories in the early years ??

I like Norv, and I will support him if he is indeed our next coach, .. but can't we go with young, energetic and hungry for our next coaching direction ?

I think we are on the right track with JG, interview Rivera as HC and Singletary as DC.

I'd love that. Which means it won't happen.

Why would we want Singletary? SF isn't likely to give him the Coordinator position since Nolan prefers somebody with more experience. Based on what I've read, Nolan was running their defense last season and wants to be able to step back and concentrate on managing the game. He's been with MS since the Ravens and it appears he doesn't think he's ready.

I read that Singletary said his main chore last season was to "manage" the 49ers' coaching staff. He would observe practice and then offer suggestions on ways to correct problems, such as a lack of enthusiasm on the practice field. He wasn't managing or scheming their D. I want someone who is going to bring a system in here that is aggressive and raises hell. Someone else, please.

Jerry is hiring Turner as HC because he cannot contractually pursue Norv the Offensive Coordinator.

Jerry has hired the man he wants as head coach (Garrett), but due to the Turner issue, he held off of giving him a title until they got feelers in on what San Fran might do. Word back was that San Fran would raise Norv to keep him from interviewing, period, so Jerry then decided he wanted Garrett to get some "seasoning" for a year or so. After the season is over, Norv and Garrett will switch positions and Norv will become the highest paid offensive coordinator in the NFL.

What the media is discussing as a possible "Lose-lose" situation for Turner becomes a "win-win". He will either become a viable HC candidate again or he will become the highest paid OC in the NFL. Garrett agrees because he will be HC and have his friend Turner running the offense. Win for Jerry, because he has found a way to circumvent the system and get what he wants.
