With Tyron Smith out against the Pats, here's what I think Mike McCarthy should do. I think the oline should look like this:

Tyler Smith, Chuma or Chuma rotating with Bass, Biadisz, Martin, and Steele.

Tyler Smith was drafted as a LT. I think he's the best option that we have there. Chuma should be at Lg or rotate with Bass. Chuma had a hyperextended elbow apparently, according to Mark Holmes, so that would explain why he wasn't able to pass block much. Putting him at LG should help. If his elbow is still bothering him, then we should either rotate him with Bass or just use Bass at LG. Biadisz, Martin, and Steele should play in their regular spot. I think this would help with Tyron Smith's absence. Let's face it, this probably won't be the last time this season that we have to deal with a Tyron Smith injury. I'd use this at least until the 49ers game or even after the bye. I think it's most important that Tyron Smith is ready for the playoffs. In the meantime, this oline setup should be able to be stable for a while.

Why was Chuma at LT last week and not Tyler?

Why wouldn't they play Tyler at LT this week with how bad Chuma played at LT?

I'm not sure. I thought Tyler was the more logical choice considering that he was drafted to be the eventual replacement for Tyron and was a tackle in college. No better way to give him reps than in a game.

It was only a matter of time until Tyron Smith was injured.

We do this every year...

Supposedly because Tyler hadn't practiced at tackle all week. Hopefully they changed that this week.

Rusty! Howdy partner!

Martin is still questionable… unfortunately. And I agree, DEFINITELY won’t be the last time we don’t play with Tyron Smith. 1st round LG coming? ;)

I just don't understand their thinking, Tyler played all last year without having any training camp, and was able to play at a relatively high level. They knew (or should have known) that Tyron would miss time, he should have been prepared throughout training camp, shouldn't he have?

Their logic escapes me, maybe I'm missing something, I don't know.

Either LG or Lt. We need to make sure that Tyron's replacement is on the roster going into next season. As for this season, I think this should be lineup. I get that Martin is questionable, but, like I said, if he can't go, then Bass should fill his spot. Under no circumstances should Chuma play LT lol. He was worse then Chaz Green.

There's been a lot of coaching overthinking this season on pretty much every team.

Martin and Biadasz are likely out as well so this likely won’t work.
exactly, plus Smith is still recovering. Last week was his first game and they must have thought him playing LT was too much for him. he may not be ready to be outside at LT. Steele will be at RT - thats the only for sure of the group

If he wants to have a normal life after the NFL then this needs to be his last season.
Agreed. Romo probably should have retired a little earlier too. Had too many back injuries in a short time, does he want to walk when he’s older?

Have you always been such a troll? You were silent until the Cowboys lost and now you're in every thread spouting extreme (and sometimes untrue) negativity.

Where did you read they are likely out when all the reports have been that they are looking like they will both be ready to play?
