Tyler Smith, Chuma or Chuma rotating with Bass, Biadisz, Martin, and Steele.
Agreed and I hope this is what they do.

Tyler Smith was drafted as a LT
And yet prior to Tyron going down last year he took exclusive snaps at LG. This year 3 days before camp Tyler was told he was to focus solely on LG moving forward. This idea he was drafted specifically for LT just doesn't fit the reality.

Why was Chuma at LT last week and not Tyler?

Why wouldn't they play Tyler at LT this week with how bad Chuma played at LT?
Patrik no c Walker explained this happened because off the time line of injuries. Too short of a week like half a practice, to make the switch.

Not sure that is all of it, most people were shocked by decision and hopefully moving forward Tyler can be back up LT/ Starting LG.

Tyler Smith, Chuma or Chuma rotating with Bass, Biadisz, Martin, and Steele.

Tyler Smith was drafted as a LT. I think he's the best option that we have there. Chuma should be at Lg or rotate with Bass. Chuma had a hyperextended elbow apparently, according to Mark Holmes, so that would explain why he wasn't able to pass block much. Putting him at LG should help. If his elbow is still bothering him, then we should either rotate him with Bass or just use Bass at LG. Biadisz, Martin, and Steele should play in their regular spot. I think this would help with Tyron Smith's absence. Let's face it, this probably won't be the last time this season that we have to deal with a Tyron Smith injury. I'd use this at least until the 49ers game or even after the bye. I think it's most important that Tyron Smith is ready for the playoffs. In the meantime, this oline setup should be able to be stable for a while.
mr Rusty--- after listening to talking cowboys and the break and Mick Shots....i will say they need a new line coach....Tyron Smith should be starting

at LT period...put Bass or Richards or Eduga at LG...but they want T Smith at LG...i can understand you want the front of pocket kept clean so Dak can step

up...but you got to keep Dak's blindside clean too...Bass or Richards could play LG because we have ( forget name i think Judah?) left side rusher

its more important to keep him off of Dak then Dak getting destroyed because Eduga has no speed and messed up elbow...but no PLATS this week

because still recovering from Arizona game....no one was guarding their lanes but instead play hero ball....you better be running tight ship against

Beli-Cheat or he will hurt you

we need Tyler Smith LT...case closed...or at worst Asim Richards....not Edoga...he is built to play guard anyway and has no lateral speed

SPOT ON i totally agree with everything you placed in perspective about what should be the best thing MM should consider doing handling the absence of Tyron Smith. Give Me Tyler S back at LT and Bass At LG then Follwed by biadisz, Martin , Steel.. I would even Bring in Dalton Risner just for insurance purposes for that guard spot for depth it wouldnt hurt

Rusty! Howdy partner!

Martin is still questionable… unfortunately. And I agree, DEFINITELY won’t be the last time we don’t play with Tyron Smith. 1st round LG coming? ;)
I'm still angry that they had the consensus best guard in the draft sitting there in the second round and did NOT choose him. Still SMH...

I understand that, but, given Tyron Smith's injury history of late, it's not the worst thing to keep Tyron seated for a few weeks or so. Thus, what I wrote was what where I want to see our oline players this weekend with Tyron out.

Let’s move Tyler permanently to tackle and let Tyron play guard when he’s healthy? He can handle it easily.
Or have Steele at Lt and Tyron at RT? He started as a RT, and he wouldn't be going up against the best pass rusher an opponent has to offer. That should help.

Agreed. I wanted Torrence O'Cyrus in round 2. We need the depth.

Have you always been such a troll? You were silent until the Cowboys lost and now you're in every thread spouting extreme (and sometimes untrue) negativity.

Where did you read they are likely out when all the reports have been that they are looking like they will both be ready to play?
First of all, I haven’t been “inactive” as you claim. I was here when we won against both the Giants and Jets. It seems you are the one focused on my negative posts over my more positive ones because they are there.

Second, I’m going based off of the practice reports. Many of them said that Martin and Biadasz weren’t practicing Friday and that they were working with the rehab/conditioning coach all week. Obviously that’s not a good sign. I’ve yet to see the reports of them “trending to play” so that’s my fault.

HELL NO>. you cannot move that many positions to a cohesive group no to all this talk let the coaches deal with it. we saw what happened in 2020 when we see that mess and cannot move that many players around.

I feel like Jerry Jones and crew is good at picking 1st rounders, but fails to complete the draft beyond that point. 2nd and 3rd round is important as well, especially when you consider you have to pick up those players that might not be fully developed yet but will be further down the road…

Also can’t help but notice that challenger in your profile pic is that yours? I have a 2017 392 shaker with 45K miles on her, gonna trade er in soon for a newer scat

Whatever o-line shuffle they are trying to accomplish with getting the best 5 should begin with Tyler Smith at LT while Tyron is out.

It doesn't make any sense to put lesser players at that premium spot when we've already got the long term Tyron replacement in house.

This was solved last year.
Put Tyler Smith at LT and figure out whomever is the best replacement guard performer(s).
