I made that mistake too many times, never doubt Eli.
It's true, Cowboys should not take this crippled Giants team for granted. Eli loves Cowboys Stadium (before it became AT&T Stadium) and they are desperate to stay in the hunt. Even without Cruz and a hobbled Jennings, Eli still has weapons. Cowboys are also faced with the loss of a starter (Free) on their OL, potential loss of Murray's #1 backup (Randle) and the ongoing concerns with mishaps on ST.
That said, if Cowboys continue to play balanced with an emphasis on establishig the run EARLY and OFTEN, Cowboys should win this game handily. Murray is a workhorse, Dunbar is capable of spelling Murray for a series or two (Ryan Williams call up is possible as well) and the D is playing with swagger and swarming to the ball. Running the ball is in the best interests for the Cowboys in many ways, the least of which is to minimize the impact for the loss of Free. Parnell is much better run blocking, often coming in as the blocking TE in short yardage already. Parnell is not so good in pass pro, which is actually not to the strengths of the entire line, starters included.
Play to our strengths, eliminate the turnovers, and the Giants do not have a chance. If the piss poor Eagles OL can get McCoy 149, imagine how many yards Murray can get. And if they play 8 or 9 in the box, then either Dez and TWill one on one is a TD waiting to happen. Witten or Escobar up the seams is deadly too. And if they want to play prevent then the middle underneath is wide open for Dunbar, Murray or Witten.
