Without Cruz, Giants aren't able to compete with us

What happened when Lee went down a few years ago? Carter stepped up and stepped in. That's the NFL. What happened when Drew Bledsoe got benched for Romo? What happened when Demarco took over for Felix?

You just never know. Its a divisional game. I'm not gonna take them for granted. This game to me is just as big as last week because its a divisional game. Actually its bigger.

You have not answered about Bryant. If we lose Bryant tomorrow...how confident do you feel that this offense will function at the same level? That they won't miss him...that it won't reduce its effectiveness...that defenses would not defend Dallas better. Is he not a top 3 or top 5 receiver right now...arguably even the best receiver not named Calvin Johnson? Lee went down last year and the defense completely collapsed...Carter was atrocious last year and was benched at times...the number of times I read the words bust and cut associated with his name would set me up on Wall Street.

We will just have to agree to disagree on this one. I don't see the Giants offense benefiting from addition by subtraction. Nope...don't see it. Cruz did slot work and work outside...the most consistent and lone deep threat in the offense. Of the Giants' 16 completions over 20 yards, Cruz accounted for nearly half of them [7]. Beckham Jr. will be on just his third NFL start. Can they play better than their impersonators did last Sunday night? Likely, but getting thumped 27-0 in a division game with vehement trash-talk in the lead up is pretty gutless. If Dallas gets beat the same way, I can only imagine the nuclear fallout that would ensue.

Well for starters yes, I do think if we lost Bryant we'd hurt. I don't think we'd be TERRIBLE. I think guys like Harris, Beasley and Terrance would step up. I'd trust them too. But we'd miss Bryant. No doubt in my mind. That being said, I don't think Victor Cruz is no Dez Bryant. I Don't mean in talent I mean as far as what he means to that offense. He's a slot receiver. Things like this can rally a squad of guys together. You see one of your fallen soldiers down and you step your game up. Don't be shocked AT ALL if the Giants step their game up in name of Victor. You can rally around guys like that.

He's is a slot receiver who leads that team in receiving yards and is the #1 WR...he leads the WR corp in average yards per reception...he accounts for virtually half of all completions over 20 yards, no other receiver is even close. He is the only real deep threat they have.

I won't be shocked that they will play better. I expect it, but they better have a much better bag than the one they unleashed on the Eagles...turns out it contained nothing but hot air. Marinelli surely saw the havoc wreaked by the Eagles aggressive A-gap blitzing...he is likely to repeat the prescription. They won't have McBride and now it looks like they won't have DRC either, who likely needs surgery to get him right again. The key to this game is going to be the play of their front four, but if Dallas goes off at their rushing average of 160 yds then I would not want to be those four guys. Without turnovers, this will be tough sledding for New York.

Don't overlook the conference games
We need to win those
I can guarantee that at 3-4 of those games will go down to the wire

The Giants were already in a bad way, but without Cruz, their offense will be entirely broken coming into Dallas.

Rueben Randle can't carry the Giants over this Cowboys team. And they're not going to have any success stopping this Offense.

Our biggest test in the coming weeks will be against the Cardinals, and honestly, they're not a very good team either.

They're 4-1, but it's what you would think looking at their record.

We have 4 difficult games left on our schedule this year.

Philly x 2
Chicago
Indianapolis

This team has no excuse for not making it to the playoffs, and we should really have no problem getting home field advantage.

The Giants looked pretty good in the previous three games. They laid an egg against the Eagles. I don't expect the same in Dallas. One WR does not make a team.

I agree, if we do not respect them as a proper foe we will pay dearly, Odell Beckham might not be a savior this year but oh my he has some talent, I do agree after three nfl games he is still trying to get adjusted to the speed of the NFL, he has some jets and elusiveness similar to a Harvin. Eagles put the rush on Eli early and he never settled. Without the rush Eli in some of the earlier games was very lethal with his quick release on the short patterns. Do I think we should beat them, yes, can we lose to them, no doubt.

As big of a loss as Cruz is I think Rashad Jennings being out has a bigger impact.

DO NOT underestimate Eli playing in Dallas. This will be a letdown game. Giants just got waxed.

I agree we should not underestimate Eli. He runs hot and cold so you have to prepare for Good Eli. This will not be a letdown game IMO

I disagree. This is a league where guys step up. And Odell Beckham, though a rookie is nothing to take for granted. It wouldn't shock me one bit if the Giants got better without Cruz. IT happens in this league time and time again. People said we wouldn't be ANYTHING without Sean Lee. No one factored in Bruce Carter and Rolando McClain would step up. You just can't predict rival games. Should we win? I believe so. But its a rival. Things change from week to week and the Giants know this is a BIG GAME for them. They are back in this race if they win. If they lose, it may put their playoff hopes to sleep.

I had forgotten about Beckham. How's he doing so far.

Interesting. Why is that?

In the games NY has won, he has produced well for them and has taken some of the pressure off of Eli. His 157 vs Houston was a big reason they won that game. I think without Jennings in the lineup NY becomes too one dimensional and in this offense they are running now they need to be able to run.

That is not to say losing Cruz is not a big loss it is

This Dallas team has been built to win the division. They went 5-1 in the division last year.

Cowboys are confident and "up" after Seattle. NYG are depleted and "down" after the Philly game. These 2 teams are going in different directions. I think the Giants come to play-- but I think Dallas is having too much fun playing right now to come out flat.

In the end-- our OL is too much to handle right now, and the NYG OL is a mess. Dallas will win by at least 10 points.

Giants will come to play, it will not be a walk in the park game. And expect some mugging.
They do have Odell Beckham who is finally playing, to go along with Randle. It's a rival and a divison game, giants will be looking for some payback to take frustrations out from the Eagles game.

Arizona is for real. They almost made the playoffs last year, but got squeezed out. They have a more complete team than most think. I do believe one of their top defensive players is ut, but not sure for how long. He may be back by the time we play them.

Commanders look to be a mess also, but I won't count that game out either. But I do feel good about going into all 3 of these games, more so than ever before.

My only concern is how can Parnell fill in for Free during this time.

Anyone who thinks this game will be a walk in the park is insane.

Blind too..

Division games are always tough. No matter what happened last week. Could just as easily be Dallas laying an egg in Arlington.
