That is funny. I am actually quite calm this afternoon. You should have seen me yesterday.

We will never know what truly happened, which is unfortunate no matter what did happen. If he raped her it is a terrible thing. If he is falsely accused of rape that is also a terrible thing. The difference is that he can probably deal with being falsely accused of rape much easier than she can deal with being raped.

:laugh2:

What happened yesterday?

Another thing is...how would you like to be the girl that got sexually assualted and was the one the got your hometown "hero" suspended or locked up?

The whole friggen city would hate you!

That's why some of those girls just so forget it.

Which would not apply to this case since it occurred in Georgia while Ben is from Ohio and plays in Pittsburgh.

Yeah, just wait until that actually happens, then tell me how you feel.

You may be on to something here.

Well, it won't happen with me, guaranteed.

I have values and morals when it come to treating others. Now, I may not treat myself as good as I should, but I sure as hell won't exploit a young woman or anyone else even if I had the chance.

I'm not sure about you.

If this is true(which it definitely seems to be) he's one disgusting piece of trash, and that's just saying it nicely.

You are much too kind regarding him and his actions.

***? Where is this coming from?

Where did I mention in that ANYTHING, no scratch that, where in my entire argument have I mentioned anything along those lines? I've been keeping it on the same specific topic the whole time, and for some reason I have to readjust the ship to bring it back.

Here's what I'm saying: Picture yourself in that situation (THAT I SAID, not Ben's situation, please for the love of god understand that I am NOT talking about Ben's situation, reading comprehension please), where you are in a sketchy bar with young women such as the victim in Ben's case, where you just toss back a few drinks and then leave. Are you saying if you get accused of rape you'll just go "aw shucks, this is all my fault for even being in that bar, this was a fair punishment for me."

I fully expect an answer of "but Ben raped her, he didn't just walk out, what does that have to do with anything" but I sure hope I'm wrong.

You know what? Forget this whole mess, OK?

Ben is innocent, the girls(s) that are accusing him are trying to extort him...it's all their fault, Ben is an upstanding citizen.

I am smart enought to not put myself in those kind of situations, period. I don't know about you.

If I had Ben's money, I guarantee you I would not be out hanging in shady places where this kind of crap could get me in trouble. I don't know about you?

It's the damn ho's, bro! They being after Ben's froggys.

Geez.....

can the feds not pick up this case? Is rape one of those state only things?

Generally speaking federal crimes are crimes that violates a congressionally mandated laws. But if asked by Leos they can assist.

**** that guy. This is bull**** . . . He should stand trial and be made to prove his innocence. I swear to god... I would be in jail if a ************ ever did that to one of my daughters. I'll gladly wear the cuffs after I pound his *** into oblivion.

What if all we could prove was: a) Rapistberger had non-forcible sex with the girl, and b) the girl was really drunk ?

Could she really consent to sex? The quotes from her report the night this happened make it clear she was quite intoxicated.

Well, what about this:
Code:
16-6-22.1. Sexual battery.
  (a) For the purposes of this Code section, the term "intimate parts"
means the primary genital area, anus, groin, inner thighs, or buttocks
of a male or female and the breasts of a female.
  (b) A person commits the offense of sexual battery when he
intentionally makes physical contact with the intimate parts of the body
of another person without the consent of that person.
  (c) A person convicted of the offense of sexual battery shall be
punished as for a misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature.
from: http://www.lectlaw.com/files/sex06.htm (don't worry about the link, it lists Georgia's sex crimes and their punishments)

Purportedly Rapistberger's attorney did not deny the girl had RB's DNA, so it seems like a slam dunk that sexual battery would be the minimum charge and put Rapistberger in prison for up to a year.

Oh, and what do you think the reaction would be if Aikman, Manning, Montana, or any of those other SB winning QBs were accused multiple times of sexual assault?

Ben is worse than Vick.

What's with these wealthy dudes that feel the need for some early 20 year old girls. There is a definate pattern surfacing here with many of them.. Does it give them an ego boost because in real they may not be able to draw attention to themselves with a more mature woman that they may have to spend a little more time with & the younger women are infatuated, nieve & eniticed by the celebrity of the athlete or guy.
Something is very much off this last year & this off season that so much of this is surfacing.
Let there be no mistake here either with my comments. There also are some women out there that make it hard for women that have a legitimate complaint for being assulted.

For the men too much money too much fame & a feeling of entitlement because of who they think they are. These guys need to back off the college bar scenes. There not in College anymore. You don't want to paint every college girl or early 20 year old with the same brush but lets face it many of the things happening seem to revolve around this age group that these men are fascinated with.

The plot thickens......

From the PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW

Before, I was pretty sure something went down in the bathroom regardless of what happened with the case.

Now, I am convinced. The officer who first investigates the scene has resigned? The investigating cops didn't preserve the crime scene? The bodyguards were off duty cops? Way too convenient for this to just be the boy who cried wolf to get paid.

I hope there is a civil suit.

I doubt there will be since the girl didn't want to press charges.

I'm not happy about it either. That suspension destroyed our season. What Irvin did isn't nearly as bad as what Roethlisberger did. He better be glad he isn't a Cowboy because the spotlight would be 10 times stronger and he would be facing a lot more games than 4.
bull****.
