Witten insulted by Dez' comments?

Who do you think leaked the meeting TO had with Garrett?

TO? Are we going back 10 years, or did you mean Dez?

I don't know who leaks anything, or if a story based on a leak is even accurate to begin with. The media loves it though - they get to toss out what they want, and hook in their audience without having to bother backing it up. Give me something concrete, and I will give you an opinion.

The only thing I could find online about it was some low end website with an article. No names given. Yeah def sounds legit. An anonymous source could very well be fake.

That's what you find a lot with these kinds of things. It's often tabloid stuff hoping to prop up media that can't otherwise get any attention.

If you always around the crime scene.....sooner or later the Forensics says we got DNA, prints, and video.

I find it funny how some of you are missing what actually happened when its right in front of you. Dez talked to Garrett. Garrett doesn't like confrontation and always always will blame someone else. I would bet a lot on Garrett telling Dez it was Dak and Witten or the guys with the "C'" just to pass the buck and not have to deal with it. Garrett is as sleazy and as slippery as it gets. Has been a long time, and it all started with Wade. Garrett will do ANYTHING to protect himself. Anything. Including winning a meaningless game and costing us draft position, just so he doesn't have another 8-8 on his record as a coach.

Garrett is the REAL PROBLEM here folks. Until this organization cleanses themselves of this perennial loser and cancer, nothing will change. RKG stands for Don't stand against me or you will be standing alone. Get ready for Bease to be gone next.
:hammer:

He was in his first year as assistant head coach, and besides, as I mentioned before, a lot of players have been released over the years (and many others not offered a new contract). TO and Dez aren't the only ones.
He was also the heir apparent who was hired before the HC and was paid as much as Wade and had complete control over the offense.

maybe he should blame himself
Exactly, I love Dez and always will. But his play decreased since signing that big contract. Now I don't think that Dez is the type that will get lazy and content with signing a fat contract because football is his life. I think if you pay Dez 2 million or 20 million he's going to live and die football. But injuries, bad QB play, and not connecting with Dak hurt him and then the price tag was the kicker as far as the salary cap goes. But everyone on the offense sucked last year, everyone had a down year. With all that being said I feel Dez should just go on with his career and keep his mouth shut and prove JG and FO wrong on the field. He should take responsibility for his play, and his play alone, decreasing the last three seasons and take the high road if he feels he is wronged by anyone. Prove it on the field and not through the media. Right now he's looking like a spoiled athlete and it's not doing him well. I'm losing a little bit of respect for him by what he's saying in the media.

I wish he was back on the team, but he's not, so now I wish he would go out respectable and prove that JG sucks as a coach. Stop causing this in the media because it makes JG and the FO look good by cutting the guy because Dez is making himself look like a distraction. And that's been the reputation that has dogged him his whole career and he's living up to it right now.

It grinds my gears. I'm an open book. You don't need to read between the lines with me. I can't stand people who gossip under anonymity. Or write loaded statements with ulterior motives. Have something to say? Come out and say it. Why do we have to hear your thoughts through someone else? (When I say you I don't mean YOU. )
You have not much to lose...
No skeletons in your closet? There's such fauna everywhere... you're a nobody, you have true freedom.
Just wait until millions of eyes are upon you, digging into everything you've done...

Pink slip 101: Don't burn your bridges (as you just never know what those bridges are connected to..)

Dez didn't get the memo.
Yep, just like with any job, if you trash talk your past employers then your future employers take that into account when deciding to hire you.

I like Dez as a person and as a player so I hope he just shuts up and quietly goes about his business.

Seriously, all you Dak Prescott haters need to get a grip. As if Dak had a damn thing to do with canning Dez I can't keep my mouth Bryant. If any one is be called out on this I say it would be S. Jones, NOT Dak Prescott. Mr mouthy is the first to put blame on, he was degrading into more of a distraction on the sidelines then anything resembling a WR on the field. It's natural to look about and find a target to dump your self inflicted misery on, but bottom line here, Dez is guilty for losing his job, NOT anyone else.
Rehr-rah!

He was also the heir apparent who was hired before the HC and was paid as much as Wade and had complete control over the offense.

lol - you are Hell bent on fabricating a silly little drama aren't you? You want to make it out as if TO and Dez are two stand alone examples of players being released, and since Witten and Garrett were with the team both times the only explanation has to be that they colluded to undermine them, but again, these are not isolated incidents. Teams release players. It happens. And when a coach and a player have been with a team as long as Garrett and Witten it is going to happen several times while they are with the team. It's a matter of longevity.

George Dunham of The Ticket said he was at an event this weekend that Jason Witten attended.

Witten was asked about Dez' comments about the "Garrett guys" and "The C's" being behind his release. Witten said he knew nothing about the coming release and that he'd never been asked his opinion about it once about it by anyone within the Cowboys organization.

He also said he spent more time working with and hanging around with Dez than anyone he ever had, and these comments were completely out of left field. He said they've always had a close relationship.

I give Dez a pass to some degree because I know he was hurt and emotional. That's natural. But he never should have done an interview so soon while he was amped up, and he shouldn't be throwing his teammates under the bus unless he knows for sure what happened.

The only guys that wear the "C" are Dak, Witten, Crawford, Scandrick, Lee, and Bailey.
This just shows Dez’s lack of education. Players cutting players, sure sounds stupid to me.

I find it ironic how there were a lot of people that called Dez a distraction on the sidelines during the game and off the field but the majority defended Dez saying if he was such a problem than why haven’t his teammates or JG said anything. Now they allegedly do and support what a lot of us knew all along, Dez was a distraction, but now JG and certain teammates are the “bad guys”.

Call it passion, temper tantrums, motivation, whatever...he WAS a distraction and it finally bit him.

he's just pouting because he never got a "C" and that Witten was his baby sitter......

Maybe when Dez said with the C’s. he was talking about the coaches.
Seriously, I know he mentioned wearing the C, but when he talked about Garrett Guys I think he may also have been thinking of some coaches plus Stephen Jones.
