Witten: This is the stuff I couldn't stand when I played

Dak is best at a fast tempo, the read option, and RPO’s. No read option, no RPO’s and didn’t speed up the tempo until it was to late. Coaching Matters. We don’t have it. Dak deserves his share of criticism also!

No RPO, no bootlegs, no play action, None. All we did was drop back and wait for the pass rush to come. When will people realize the stink comes from the top on down?

Uh, are you forgetting our super long developing and horribly blocked trick play where our slot WR was going to throw a TD to our QB?!?!

That's the kind of playcalling that's sure to get your QB in a rhythm.

That may be the all time worst call I’ve seen!

It's just so difficult for this coaching staff. We just traded for a #1 receiver. We have a 7 foot tall TE who is only good at catching the ball. We have one the league's best young players in Zeke, and arguably one of the most talented OLs in the league.

But sure, let's take all those players out of the game at this pivotal moment and have COLE BEASELY throw it to DAK

maybe Cole throws a better ball than Dak.

That trick play was so Garrett could point out how he tried to be creative and it didn't work so he is right to keep using a 1992 vintage offense.

In the past, I defended Dak as long as possible but it seems to me that he lacks the body makeup and flexibility to perform as a QB. I fear he's simply ill-suited to progress as need be at quarterback.

On top of that, his mental processing really doesn't appear to allow for quick decision making. It's becoming increasingly obvious that a QB replacement will be required eventually.

It seems pretty clear to me why Jerry felt compelled to leave his seat so early. The tough media questions were bound to come would have been extremely tough to deal with on such short notice. It will require some fancy verbal creativity to extricate himself from what he'll be asked to explain.

Witten and McFarland really took turns eviscerating this coaching staff tonight. Witten seemed to particularly take great pleasure in pointing out Red and Linehan's flaws.
Definitely made the commentary somewhat enjoyable.

Witten and Romo, the two players who actually have a voice in game days; have repeatedly trashed Jason Garrett .

No surprise .
Romo and Dez are probably chuckling and exchanging messages laughing at the decisions the Jones made to let them both go.

I will never forgive them for replacing Romo with Dak - it is unforgivable!

Then add replacing Dez with Cooper and their 2019 1st rounder_ I was a little down on Dez with all the talk after they let him go but I understand now!

Stupid decisions have destroyed this franchise and made them unbearable to watch!

it was so bad, Booger sounded like a better OC the crapehan. Do play action on first down instead of always running it, sounds like a good idea to me! SMDH

It was pretty obvious. It's why Romo had the most 4th quarter comebacks. We don't open up the playbook until we are 2 touchdowns behind in the 4th quarter, and somehow, magically we start slicing down the field

Witten and Romo BOTH have called out Garrett as has Dez, as has TO. Romo, Witten and Dez, I'm sure, have a bit of pent up anger at their careers being tossed down the drain so Garrett can 'learn to coach'.
Don't forget that Ray Lewis & Ed Reed in 08 and the Chargers in 09 called out Garrett's play calling.
