Yeah, that threw me too. I was trying to think of something much more recent because of him.

It was weird to see Dave Chappelle in You've Got Mail when I watched it my first time back in November. I was fortunate to have avoided seeing it before that point. Throughout the entire movie I was wondering if Dave Chappelle was Tom Hanks' imaginary friend or the ghost of his best friend. I don't remember any other character talking to Dave Chappelle besides Tom Hanks. Trying to spot Dave Chappelle interacting with another character besides Tom Hanks at least gave me something to do while watching that movie. Unfortunately you don't always get to pick the film on movie night.
