The curse of winning the previous WC strikes again. This is embarrassing for Germany as it should be. Maybe more embarrassing than our US team not even qualifying. I am totally at loss for words. Hats off to Sweden for getting the job done. They beat Italy to qualifying and then moved on their group.

Good. Germany has looked terrible all tournament, I don't think they'd have done anything in the next round anyway. Props to Sweden...they could have collapsed after choking the Germany game away and going up against Mexico, who some have said were the most impressive team up to this point. They dominated and earned their spot

This WC is way to gut wrenching to watch but fun at the same time. Maybe the most exciting one in while and this is only the group stage.

Serbia is going to be playing a physical game today and i think the refs will let the players play without much interruption. Brazil needs to play through what they think is a foul, if they spend time looking to the refs for help they will lose this game.

Germany 2-0 over S. Korea.
Swiss 2-0 over Costa Rica
Brazil 3-0 over Serbia.

Germany finishes last in the group, and Mexico limps in on the heels of an embarrassing 3-0 loss.

That win over Germany doesn't look quite as impressive now. The Germans were 10 seconds from being winless.

You might be right. Belgium looks good and if they do win the whole it would finally put the Golden Age of this team on the map if they aren't already.
