Worse than 1989

Even though we only won one game in 1989 1988 was a worst season because there was no hope - zero hope.

1989 - Jerry , Jimmy , 88 & 8 - hope.

This is our worst season since 1988 and Cooper Rush is playing Steve Pelluer - Kevin Sweeney can’t be too far behind.

And that is the theme of this season hopelessness. I see nothing positive now or in the future, unless Jerry surprises us all with a huge move in the off-season in the way of a coach and general manager.

That is the only thing that’s going to get us out of the NFL toilet bowl of embarrassment.

And make no mistake. We are the laughingstock of professional sports.

No other team’s quarterback showed up on Mike Tyson’s *** cheeks.

We’ve been the laughingstock for many years.

That takes years and a Herschel trade. Typically the same group of teams draft high every year.

Hopefully we’re in that group for 2-3 years. I just don’t trust the people doing the drafting.

It’s time to see who here has the stomach for a full rebuild. A lot of you wanted this team to bottom out, and you may very well get your chance.

Let’s hope so. I hope they don’t win another game this year or next season. This has to happen to bring about change.

I've only been watching since 1994 but this is the worst team I've seen.

The amount of injuries is ridiculous. I'm just wondering if some of them just don't want to play. What the hell did Daron Bland do to his foot to miss this much time? Why is it every time they say he's coming back he tells them his foot still hurts? It's obvious we need him and it looks to me like he doesn't care. This is not the most ideal way to earn a second contract and I'm wondering what he's going to do if he gets one. Actually, I'm not wondering because I already know.

He needs to pull this crap with another team. I don't care how many interceptions he had last year. He's got zero this year.

I completely trust the people doing the drafting. Not perfect, but right most of the time. That's with every team.

It's the coaches that need to stay out of the draft room. That's how we ended up with Taco and Mazi. Let the people who study this year round do their jobs, and let McClay make the picks.
