Folks - Hope the rest of the weekend was good and you at least hit a couple bets and/or won the fantasy game because the Cowboys are a steamy pile. Below see the link for the game highlights. It covers pretty much every snap. I recommend fast forwarding to the defense only and key on 54. I watched much of this at 50% speed because I could not believe my eyes. I know many are bashing on 54 but take the time to watch this if you can. You will witness the worst game for a starting LB in the history of football. Please tell me if I am wrong. It was hard for me to find anything he did positive. I won't give you my notes. Check it out if you have the time. It is remarkable.

Not sure exactly what Jaylon's problems start or end but much of it appears to come from between his ears. If I recall correctly, he was the first player to declare the defense was too complicated. If that's not a tipoff, then I'd like to know what is. Could it be time for Francis Bernard or someone else to take over his spot? It sure seems like something for McCarthy and Mike Nolan to consider, at this point in time.

Jaylon was awful yesterday but his play is a symptom of an ineffective DL. Our DTs are not keeping the OL off him. He needs to be able to run sideline to sideline and tackle which is real hard to do when you have to shed a block from a 320 lb G to get to the ball carrier.

Jaylon Smith cares about his braids, clothes, cars, women and post football business prospects way more than he cares about football.
He sucks as a LB but he is a product of the cowboys culture. His sorry play is obvious and on film. Opponents exploit this while we say, " he will correct that next game". We are stuck with this while our lb corps is a MASH unit. When you add to this the middle of our D line which cannot EVER win a match-up and only gets penetration when an o line opponent makes a rare mistake, we are fubar for sure.

We gave up 307 yards rushing yesterday, an all-time worst for a Cowboys team. And Cleveland’s best back was out almost the entire game.

A huge part of that failure is due to Jaylon and his consistently poor play. And his boneheaded error on the missed extra point cost us another 2 points. I wish we could cut Jaylon but his contract is a huge problem. Imagine if we had put that money towards signing Dak long-term instead.

We are a rudderless ship with Jerry as the GM. One bad decision after another.

you can put in a lot of Jaylon games and they would contend for worst LB play ...

We called a corner back blitz on a play where the RB is going to run right at that blitz. The Browns 3rd string RB then goes 30 yards. #28 is the worst NFL player I've ever had the privilege of watching.

Jaylon looks like he's chasing butterflies in most of those shots.

Run and chase LB? Due to a complete lack of instincts he does more chasing than any LB I ever saw.
