Wow, I can't believe I completely forgot about the Uwe Boll movies.

Edit: I'm kind of glad I did...curse you big dog!

Nobody is going to tell you Avatar is the best movie ever. It was more a showcase of movie making technology, and Cameron has said as much.

Very true. I don't know yeah it was cool for like 4 minutes, then it wasn't all that. Way too long.

Most people who read the book will agree that Eragon was a poorly made movie. It by no means gives the book justice whatsoever. Overall the movie is a pile of doo doo when compared to the book.

Also, an absolutely horrible movie: Tropic Thunder.

Yeah, Eragon sucked big time...it just got worse and worse as the movie went on.

Also adding to the list, Skyline. Another movie that started with good potential but had an absolutely TERRIBLE ending.

"It's finally here: The most boring alien-invasion movie ever."
--Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News

When aliens invade Los Angeles, a group of friends find that their personal problems continue to get in the way as they try to survive the onslaught. Clearly trying to recreate the drama and suspense of Cloverfield, Skyline instead delivers annoying characters, silly set pieces and a ludicrous ending that unfortunately suggests a sequel is on the way.

There's a fanedit (Avatar Recycled) that cuts out about 20 minutes. It's still long, but not as bad. Fixes other issues as well...but can't fix the lame story.

It was pretty cool to see it in IMAX. Definitely only a one time watch, though.

Blair Witch scared me, but I've been REALLY lost in the deep woods before.

As to stinkers:

Flightplan. The only movie I ever paused in order to mock and laugh at.

Pearl Harbor. Wonderful batlle CGI, but the massive actual military history flaws were too countless to ignore. An insipid love triangle that consisted of "Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back again".

The Thin Red Line. Perhaps I need to watch this again, I've grown to really appreciate the way that Malick shoots his movies. But when I watched this in the theatre I fell asleep.

Anything with Nicki Cage.

I disagree

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Raising Arizona
Con Air
Leaving Las Vegas
The Rock
Snake Eyes (Though this is a love it or hate it one)
Gone in Sixty Seconds
Adaptation

All solid movies. I also liked Windtalkers, though many war movie buffs didnt care for it. Now, everything he has done recently sucks because of his debt and willingness to sell his acting career out like a $5 streetwalker.
