Worst Super Bowl Ever Already

Two teams that cheated their way to the top going against each other. Two teams that were literally the LEAST favorite teams in the NFL as soon as 15 years ago. Two teams with primadonna, bratty players whom exhibit about as much hubris as Obama. Marshawn whining about responsibility while he's getting rich off the people he's slighting. Tom whining about how he's treated when his fans revere him as a god.

I truly hate both of these teams. I hope they both somehow lose.

A Cowboys / Colts game would have had so many feel good stories and would have had people in it that actually respect the game. I'm so glad our team has proper human beings like Romo and Witten and Murray. Not sure I'd even be a fan if I had to root for Seattle or NE.

Is this just sour grapes or does anyone else feel the same. It's sad that these two teams are repping the league. Makes the whole league look pathetic.

Are they the two best teams? Or did they cheat? It's hilarious how Earl Thomas is crying about HGH tests saying the league "treats us like criminals". Hiding something Earl? The Hawks have the worst PED problem in the league and the Pats are PROVEN cheaters.

Sour grapes

They are the two best teams, and it will be a very good football game.

I agree with the OP. Yeah, there's some sour grapes to the post, but more truth to it than anything. These two teams are very unlikable, even for the casual fan. The story lines to this Super Bowl have been beyond pathetic... Deflategate and Marshawn the mute who can't talk with the media but can make an appearance on Conan?

Lame Super Bowl with two pathetic organizations!

I hate the Pat's. There are a few things I don't like about the Seahawks but for the most part I respect them. I do agree though...I'm not the least bit interested in this Superbowl honestly. I'm so sick of hearing about deflategate and Lynch. I wouldn't even watch it if it going to a Superbowl party was "the thing to do".

I agree. I do think Pats cheated with the deflate gate I also think they would have beaten the Colts regardless. I do think Seahawks and Pats are the 2 best. I would be lying if I did not say I would have loved to play the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game because I think Dallas matches up well with the Seahawks.

I got nothing against SEA. I think they're a very good and very well-coached team that's fun to watch.

I don't respect NE.

I guess, more than the two teams in it, though, I'm just disappointed all around with this NFL season (obvious enjoyment of the Cowboys' season aside). From the mishandling of Ray Rice to the unilateral capricious commissioner suspensions of star players that definitely affected the outcome of division match ups, to the blown officiating and the mishandling of the clean up after that to the sweeping of the cheating accusations under a temporary rug (this is understandable, given the size of the game, but it's really unfortunate). The game has just lost a lot of credibility this season.

What's worse, ownership hasn't shown signs yet that they're prepared to take it seriously in the offseason. I'm hopeful that they're keeping a lid on things until after the big game and then they make a move, but I haven't seen any reason to believe that's what will happen. Honestly, I think the league needs a new commissioner paired with the changes with the newly-formed disciplinary committee for player conduct. And I think the Pats need to be absolutely hammered if it turns out they were, in fact, involved in any way with their footballs not being regulation. I put the chances of either of those things happening at 'slim'. Much less both of them happening.

"Sour grapes" is the perfect response.

Both with the NFL and politically.

You respect the Seahawks? For what? Taking enough drugs to win? The only player (or coach) on that team that has my respect is Wilson. He's a consummate pro and has had to prove people wrong his whole life. I'd be happy if Wilson could win and Carrol, Sherman, Thomas, Lynch and the rest of that team could lose.

Couldn't agree with you more, bud.

With the officiating and the antics that the teams owned by the Maras, Krafts and Rooneys get away with, the league is really turning into a joke. The fact that Robert Kraft wants an apology for practically getting caught cheating yet again makes this Super Bowl almost unwatchable to me, among other things. It is, indeed, pathetic that these two teams are repping the league in the Super Bowl, but it goes farther than that for me.

I hardly recognize the game nowadays as compared to even just 10 years ago. With all of these new rules and absolutely horrible officiating combined with a commissioner that is hell bent on making things about him and change every facet of the game it's really hard to watch a regular season game.

It is what it is though. I love the Cowboys so I'll keep watching and pullin' for them.

I have not watched anything SB related, nor much of anything about it on NFLN or ESPN the past 2 weeks.
Watched a good part of the PB with no or very little sound. Only because of the Cowboys connections.

I won't be paying 100% attention to this SB, but only to see if I win any $$$$ on any pools I am in.

I agree with Idgit, nothing against Seattle, no respect for NE.

Also Goodell / NFL pundits, always spouts...protect the shield....
Well, that shield has a lot of cracks in it, as they didn't honor their own shield....all the mishandling of a variety of issues, on and off the field. Just is horrible, but they seem to more cover it up, or have excuses than to fix it or make things right.

You can speak for yourself politically.

As far as the NFL is concerned, go ahead and keep your wallet open and act like the Patriots are the model for integrity.

agreed for the most part. cheater bowl. its the state of affairs here. an illustration of our current society played out on the field. it makes perfect sense once you look at it from this angle. maybe the next bowl L50 will finally have "Americas Team" back to wash all this BS away. than the millions of cowboys haters tears will be collected in a huge reservoir and used to clean the dirty of the NFL.

I think it's a fascinating matchup. Last team with the ball wins.
