You can speak for yourself politically.

As far as the NFL is concerned, go ahead and keep your wallet open and act like the Patriots are the model for integrity.

Why would I be speaking for anyone other than myself?

As far as I know, this is a Cowboys forum not a political one. If a person can't keep that straight, I'm assuming sour grapes. But of course, I'm speaking for myself.

Two teams that cheated their way to the top going against each other. Two teams that were literally the LEAST favorite teams in the NFL as soon as 15 years ago. Two teams with primadonna, bratty players whom exhibit about as much hubris as Obama. Marshawn whining about responsibility while he's getting rich off the people he's slighting. Tom whining about how he's treated when his fans revere him as a god.

I truly hate both of these teams. I hope they both somehow lose.

A Cowboys / Colts game would have had so many feel good stories and would have had people in it that actually respect the game. I'm so glad our team has proper human beings like Romo and Witten and Murray. Not sure I'd even be a fan if I had to root for Seattle or NE.

Is this just sour grapes or does anyone else feel the same. It's sad that these two teams are repping the league. Makes the whole league look pathetic.

Could have also brought back classic memories of Colts last second FG win, and now decades later Dallas looking to even the score.

Something for us old-timers, and newbies to Cowboys Fandom

Couldn't agree with you more, bud.

With the officiating and the antics that the teams owned by the Maras, Krafts and Rooneys get away with, the league is really turning into a joke. The fact that Robert Kraft wants an apology for practically getting caught cheating yet again makes this Super Bowl almost unwatchable to me, among other things. It is, indeed, pathetic that these two teams are repping the league in the Super Bowl, but it goes farther than that for me.

I hardly recognize the game nowadays as compared to even just 10 years ago. With all of these new rules and absolutely horrible officiating combined with a commissioner that is hell bent on making things about him and change every facet of the game it's really hard to watch a regular season game.

It is what it is though. I love the Cowboys so I'll keep watching and pullin' for them.

Well said.......

And true. The game has taken a definate down turn for the worse...and I don't see it getting any better. This is by far the worst season in the history of the league. I've come to the conclusion the league likes to sell controversy....and the bigger the better. Hopefully soon...Roger Goodell will step down and someone more competent will step in and clean up this mess.

I love this matchup...two best teams in the league...as even of a matchup as there is...I'm excited to watch this game

A legitimate dynasty vs a potential up and coming dynasty

I have not watched anything SB related, nor much of anything about it on NFLN or ESPN the past 2 weeks.
Watched a good part of the PB with no or very little sound. Only because of the Cowboys connections.

I won't be paying 100% attention to this SB, but only to see if I win any $$$$ on any pools I am in.

I agree with Idgit, nothing against Seattle, no respect for NE.

Also Goodell / NFL pundits, always spouts...protect the shield....
Well, that shield has a lot of cracks in it, as they didn't honor their own shield....all the mishandling of a variety of issues, on and off the field. Just is horrible, but they seem to more cover it up, or have excuses than to fix it or make things right.

Will watch this one will be to see the commercials, and how Pats handle Seattle D. In terms of winner , we aren't in it so whomever wins will get this years hype..

Agree somewhat...........
Lynch acting like a spoiled little brat has made me hate the Hawks even more. He is nothing but a first rate dbag.

Are they the two best teams? Or did they cheat? It's hilarious how Earl Thomas is crying about HGH tests saying the league "treats us like criminals". Hiding something Earl? The Hawks have the worst PED problem in the league and the Pats are PROVEN cheaters.

The testing is supposed to be random but anytime a player does something like kick a long field goal, play through injury or have a great performance they get a "random" test the next day

I'm making deflated football cookies.

We've got some good friends who just finished a remodel and are using the game as their housewarming party. So I'll be going along. We're going to get some blue and green balloons and some red and blue ones and have the red and blue ones only partially inflated. Har-har.

I just wanted to make sure that, as far as the political aspect of things, you were indeed speaking for yourself.

That is all.

You or I thinking or not thinking so is not the point.
Pats beating the Colts regardless is not the point.

The point is they cheated, I get that. I also know they are a very good team. I could act like a child and deny that but reality is they are a very good team. Does not mean I do not want them punished for the infraction I do and severely

I'm in for the entertainment. Obviously wish there was more at stake for the Cowboys however we're going to make a party out of it either way.
Brisket and wings on the smoker, beer flowing, betting squares and side wagers on every aspect of the game.
Commercials should be a hoot. Funny how all my Bronco neighbors feel the same way as I do, so we'll belly ache together on what could have been and then try and make the best out of the last pro football game of the season.
Yes the NFL is a travesty but have you looked at Washington DC lately, much less the rest of the third world? There's some seriously sick minds out there.
Guess I'm just trying to keep it in perspective.

I think it could potentially run deeper than we know.

Early in the season they got housed!! Media was all over Bill, "is Brady done?".... "Are the Pats done?"

THEN.... they are amazing again.

There is probably more cheating going on. Some will have to pull a ....Mancgni "the rat" on them to get those details.

Heh heh... Lol
