Would Bills take Bobby C. and a 5th for Roscoe Parrish?

Coming out of the Draft I'm still not comfortable with our wideout position, Punt and Kick returners.. However we seem to have too many Linebackers... If Bobby has a good training camp.. Shuffle him off to Buffalo quickly...

If this scenerio were to happen, the Bills will ask TO what do you think about Bobby Carpenter. TO will say 'Who?' And that'll be the end of that idea.

First of all, we don't have a fifth. Why not Bobby straight up if you want Parrish. Its not like there is a high demand for him.

I would love to have Roscoe on the Cowboys, he would be a great return man and a nice slot receiver, I'm sacred to death of Newman returning punts, remember that hit a few years back against the Jets he took?.

The woman in your sig and avatar is stunning.

Carpenter is the new Dexter Coakley. Every trade scenario will involve him.

I don't think either has been much of a pro.

Parrish has at least contributed a little beyond special teams and has something we sorely lack and that is speed at WR. I don't think Carpenter has a secure spot unless he suddenly develops a backbone and gets physical enough to compete for a nickel role. Fact is, we have two draftees who are already physical enough and can do exactly what he does on the coverage units.

This trade would be a good way to cut a loss, but I doubt it happens.

Meagan Good...and she's dating Thomas Jones.

As for the original topic... They might take a ham sandwich and a 5th and tell the team to keep Bobby.

I suggested this trade because Buffalo is Loaded at WR: Parrish, Evans, TO, Hardy, Josh Reed and A guy that they are high on Steve Johnson... We just Drafted 4 linebackers.. Seems like a good trading partner...

Give 'em a 2009 late round draft pick and everybody's happy.

The Bills will get something for a player from an overstocked position, and the Cowboys would get returner help and some much-needed 'shiftiness' at the wide receiver position.

I will say one thing about her though.

I hate huge ear rings. I don't like the look of ear lobes sagging because of the weight of the jewelry.

Yep. We don't have much wiggle at the WR position. Which is interesting because Garrett was high on guys like Royal and Higgens.

Are we wanting him to basically be nothing more than a punt returner? I honestly don't see him coming here and taking the 3rd reciever spot away from Austin or Crayton so at best he'd be a 4th WR here (Baring injury of course) and he'd return punts.

Honestly I just don't get the sudden love of Parrish.

I think disgust of Carpenter is driving this moreso than love of Parrish.

Frankly, you could say the same thing about Carpenter taking a third ILB spot away from younger players like Williams and Hodge. If all he's going to do is play special teams, there's no difference.

Its about the best case scenario. 4th best receiver/punt returner versus special team coverage player? I'd take the receiver/punt returner.

If Parrish's skillset is different from what we have (and it is) why not throw him into the WR mix and see what happens? He could be our punt return backup in case Smith isn't an answer.

I can see that. I can understand where that could be driving this thing.

I'd say that rather than being fixated on 1,2,3,4 receiver to look at the unique skill-set he would bring to the team.

He may not be an every-down receiver, but he would bring added value in the return game and would be an improvement over Crayton's fair catches.

He would also bring a different skillset to this team's current receiver corps as he has more agility and 'wiggle' than the current group has.

Even if he was 'ranked' as the #4 receiver, he would bring solid value as a returner and justify being active on gameday.

If anything, his presence would probably mean the end of the Stanback experiment.
