Would Dak Had Continued Playing Like Herbert Did?

The bottom line, for me, comes down to this: Who would you rather have as your quarterback: Dak Prescott or Justin Herbert?

I'm pretty sure 32 teams, including the Cowboys, would be unanimous in their choice.

Right, Herbert kept the Chargers in the game all night, and would gladly take that performance, that type of talent at QB.

Herbert is a major competitor that understands how to win and keeps improving and showing why he deserves to be a real franchise QB.

It’s not really an excuse though. Yes they are loaded but they aren’t the only loaded team in the AFC. Their roster is debatably 5th or 6th best in the AFC (but would be 1 or 2 in NFC) and in a loaded division that can be a way to miss the playoffs.

Note that I expect them to but if their OLine injuries are bad or Herbert misses 2-3 games that might be the difference in a loaded AFC.

Prescott has never sent any message that he isn't about doing whatever he can for his team. He hit his thumb a second time and realized he was more of a detriment to his team staying on the field, he could not control the ball.

If the question is which would I rather have, that's easy because Herbert is more talented. But I do not see him as more likely to play hurt to help his team than Prescott.

Dak is injury-prone, unable or unwilling to play hurt, inaccurate, and slow of foot. But other than that he's the perfect QB.

They have a better roster than the Chiefs. Chiefs just have Mahomes.

Bills have a great roster. Who else has a roster the quality of SD in the AFC?

Had Dak had the game Herbert did the board would be loaded with Dak hate threads because of the loss and the pick-six. By the way I can’t remember Dak leaving a game with an injury that wasn’t real serious requiring surgery. Herbert wouldn’t have stayed in that game if he had a serious thumb injury where he couldn’t grip the football.
