Would Dak Had Continued Playing Like Herbert Did?

I know Romo would have and did in a way but I'm curious. After seeing how Justin Herbert got back in the game against the Chiefs and kept on playing QB despite being injured in what I think were his ribs, I wonder if Dak would have gone out there and tried his best to win the game like how Herbert almost did. Would he have stayed on the sidelines to not risk any more serious injuries to his ribs or would he have tried to do what Romo did in 2011 against SF and what Herbert did? Would he have fared better than Herbert did?

Really makes you wonder how different those two are as QB and if Herbert might be the better QB due to what we all saw against the Chiefs. Your thoughts guys?
That's a bad comparison. It was his throwing hand.

I also recall his ankle popping, which was the main issue from that incident at practice. But somehow in your mind... that outweighs him staying in the game with a broken thumb, and trying to continue with a broken ankle?
Ya'll trying to make him look like he's some kind of folk lore hero type of character is hilarious.

Claiming he's playing through this and that provides you excuses for his bad play, plus it makes him look like a real tough guy.

It checks all the boxes when you're a Dak defender that is in too deep to ever just accept that he's just not very good.

What do you do when your guy isn't very good? You make excuses for him or talk about intangibles like "leadership" or "toughness".

These Dallas Prescott fans are pure entertainment.

I could never imagine trying to defend a bum player that's literally holding the team I "cheer for" back.

The more you type the more you confirm that you're just a Dak fan, bro. Accept it.
LOL. Yeah. Because i hold EVERY qb to the same standard you hold Dak to.

That makes me a Dak fan? No. It makes me not an ignorant buffoon. All you do is crap on Dak. That's literally all you do. And then call out anyone who says anything different as a "Fanboy" lol.

How do you feel about this getting ready to be Cooper Rush's team?

Ironically, he's got Dak for a pfp.

This thread is about his toughness. I listed actual moments where he showed toughness, and you brush those off as "excuses for bad play". Where was that mentioned in my post?

He's not anymore tougher than anyone else though.

You'd work your shift with a bad shoe I'm sure.

That wasn't even a real "shift". It was practice! lol

He's the QB. So I will cheer for him to do well. Simultaneously I am cheering for a higher draft pick so we can draft a QB. Even though I know Jerry wont do it.
“This might be the deepest QB class in a long, long time. Maybe ever,” one general manager said. “Especially in terms of volume. We’re evaluating so many guys. It’s a great year to need a quarterback.”

This holds true as the story of the upcoming draft — which is obviously still far away — seems to be revolving mostly around the quarterback position. The main players to watch continue to be Bryce Young (Alabama), CJ Stroud (Ohio State), Tyler Van Dyke (Miami) and Will Levis (Kentucky). But outside of them are players like Devin Leary (NC State), Sam Hartman (Wake Forest), Brennan Armstrong (UVA), GRAYSON MCCALL (Coastal Carolina) and a host of others on top of several dark horses with the potential to take off and become big risers this season.

This is the year. Do it, Jerry.

Don't you know we're only allowed to mock Dak? It's simply Cowboys logic to only mock the QB. Never up him.

I up'd him for 3 years.

After the 2019 season I was done with him.

There comes a time when you realize that you need to move on and try something else. I don't think it's smart to double down on things that aren't working or even shows signs of regression.

Honestly, I quite like Stroud. I'm not terribly keen on Bryce Young given his measurables, and I think Stroud is the better of the two. If we go WR or oline as we might do in round one, then I could see us having a go at Levis (who, for Kentucky has been brilliant), Devin Leary, or McCall at later rounds. I can understand the logic if Jerry opts to go, hypothetically, LT/LG round 1 and one of these others in rounds two or three and WR in the other of the spots. This ordering would help both Dak in the immediate term and the successor when the time arrives.

Dak should have taken himself out right away; but in the heat of a game its understandable. The REAL failure was MM and company; they should have acted RIGHT AWAY. And did not.

A player has a duty to his team mates and if he is hurting their chances to win by staying in he should take himself out. But that is easy to say sitting behind a computer.

I'll continue upping him as we hadn't had good alternatives the last few seasons. If we get one of the players that are being propped up, then I might be more inclined to up the replacement. However, I'd have to, naturally, see how they get on with the rest of the squad. I won't want them immediately thrown into the middle of things if we don't have sufficient protection for him. That's how you become the Washington Commanders.

naw. he's played poorly, he is looking to be fools gold AND he's tough and has displayed toughness. you are just taking every single opportunity to take shots and when they're replied to gas light lol. my entire alerts feed right now is "mountaneercowboy replied to the thread" it's super weird man.

Dak just played several snaps with a broken thumb. Is this real life?

There are a lot of areas in Prescott’s game that deserve questioning—toughness is not one of them.

It's more weird that you get alerts like that.

I don't get any alerts letting me know "so and so replied to a thread".
