Like I said easy decision when coming off a 6-10 season. Let's turn this around and get some steam going and see if Jerry will throw up the big top tent real quick.

I would love nothing more than Jerry not to fail because that would mean the Cowboys didn't fail. But I just don't see him changing his stripes. Keep thinking he has just for him to show he hasn't. But I wish nothing but the best for Jerry but he just can't stay out of his own way.

I wouldn't have been surprised if had said yes. To me it would have been a sign of confidence in his own abilities to get done what needs to get down regardless of the coverage.

I'm curious as to what Jerry felt about the offer. Did he wnat it bad enough to try and sell Garrett on it? Or did he just want what Garrett wants.

Some "good" does come from the chaos, more publicity, possibly more revenue generation for Jerry. If you are a salesmen trying to keep your team in the limelight seems to be a great venue to do so.

In terms of team play, would be hard to say it helps.

Hard-knocks made a decision not to follow any team due to issues with the lock-out. A compilation of the last 10 years will be aired. There was no mention, I saw in the media, concerning the Cowboys being contacted about the 2011 season, other than one suggestion on NBC that the -

"Other teams that could be interested, in our estimation, are the Seahawks, the Dolphins (if the owner has any say in it), the Broncos (given the extreme openness of the organization since John Elway’s return), the Cowboys (duh), possibly the 49ers."

Rumors where that the Bucs held the frontrunner status. Don't know if the Cowboys were even contacted, but in different articles just about every team in the league was mentioned as a possible contestant in the process.
