Would it be hard to defend Romo from this point on if we go 0-4 in December

Ok let's be rational here. Let's say Romo puts up 30 points and the defense gives up 35 points and we lose anyways, well then Romo is absolved. How often does Romo put up a bunch of points against teams with winning records late in the season? Don't answer just think about it.

Hooray Romo beats up the lowly Jags but disappears against superior teams, rinse, gargle, rewind, repeat. And it's not quite Dec just yet...

Teams have figured out all they have to do is sell out to try to stop the run and force Romo to beat them in the air. In addition they play man and send in a blitz and Romo goes fetal, game over....

The defense sure is not going to help him, so its going to be up to the offense to score points.

If the offense is not going to score points, its hard to absolve the QB of those failures.

Yes. Offense should be able to shoot put with the best of them. If we don't it is on Tony. Leader of the pack....lead. Score. Win.

Without Romo we are 2-14...................learn the game.

Yes. But that is not the point nor the question.

well if he can't match what the other offense is doing then what good is he during this time of year? There will be times when the opposing team will go up 14-0 which means our QB has to match that.

It can't be that every time we fail that it was the rest of the team wasn't good enough....bathe defense wad t good enough, find a way.

If we go 0-4 in December our lack of a nfl quality defense will have more to do about it then Romo

Bull. Can't go to that excuse we'll berry time.

I been defending all year on social media and at my job about how he is not a choker and he was hurt last year. But if this man starts the next 3 games and we are 8-7 ONCE AGAIN due to interceptions by him then I can't defend him anymore because it would be too many collapses for me in December

It comes a time when he has to prove everyone wrong and stop being the guy everyone expects this time of year. How much longer is he going to continue to play like crap in december when he really only has about 3 years left to play? So the time is now and I am done with the excuses for why Romo could not get it done in December again. I mean how could any of us still support him if he has another tragic december?

When other fans say.........Romo is a Joke, it would be nothing for us to say but........."It appears to be the case"

Anyone agree if we have another losing record in december it would be hard to support Romo going forward?

BTW: I said the next 3 games because if we go 0-3 it would no reason for him to play in week 17

If he plays like he did last week in the next 3 weeks, nobody will be defending Romo including Romo. That's the worst he's played all year besides opening day. I'm hoping it was the short week and he was off his routine, bounces back.

I just think it's unlikely that he will play that badly over the stretch of five games because , well, he never has.

A lot of people are only letting what they see most recently affect their analysis of this team as a whole.

Depends how he performs. If he sucks he will be criticized. Like any other player.

Maybe because it was a HUGE game against a division rival and Romo came up small. No excuse and unacceptable especially when he knew how important the game was

And we are not talking about a young guy, he doesn't have that many opportunities left to go to the playoffs so if we was to miss it this season he will only have 2 more shots, 3 at the most

I would argue our Coaching Staff has the most to do with it. We've got about as much talent as anyone and other teams are doing more with about the same levels of talent. I'm sure Chip would kill to have Romo as his QB over Foles or Sanchez, and Dez over Maclin, probably our entire OL over his…..but they are better prepared than we are, more creative, and get their players to play with an 'edge'. New England is in the same boat. I'd argue NE has crap for talent outside of Brady yet here they are again, streaking late in the season. They actually change much of their playbook each week so its nearly impossible to game plan them. I wouldn't say Green Bay is abundantly more talented than us. I would actually say Seattle is, which is one of the few games it looked like our coaches (outside the special teams coach) had the players ready to play.

wouldn't it be hard to defend *any quarterback* if their team went 0-5 to close out the season?

I think he might have one more good season left.

But I am talking his career as a whole, I can no longer defend him because it would be too many failures

He hasn't brought this team from behind his whole career? Hmmm I'm missing some thing.

Yes he has but the offense scoring 10 pts and him having 0TD passes and 2 Int's in a Thanksgiving Game for the division lead is unacceptable

If we had lost 35-31 on late TD pass by sanchez with Romo having 3 TD passes and 1 Int then it would not be as bad

You can never have more Int's than TD passes

Oh yeah that game was strictly Romo. I don't know how I missed it. Letting Phillys offense score all those points.

I don't think that that will be a trend going forward. He will play better the rest of the season.
